I have been putting off buying MCC because of all the glitches and bugs that seem to plague it, but now that it’s being patched should I get it?
Matchmaking works.
While not everyone is happy with the playlists - they actually work now. Finding matches isn’t hard (in NA) and the level matching is decent.
Campaigns work.
AFAIK pretty much most of the achievement bugs are fixed.
4K HDR, 60 fps
Yup, they look beautiful.
for $30-$40 for 4 games, totally worth it. Especially if you didn’t play all the originals - this is a great way to get introduced.
It’s been worth it for a long time… You have been missing out. Despite the bugs it’s been fun to play.
Yup, don’t know how any Xbox user lives without it.
I don’t play multiplayer on it personally, but the campaigns are fun and look great (plus it’s a great value for 5 full campaigns). Just be aware some achievements don’t work properly.
MCC is one of the best games I played on xbox one yet
switching between old and remastered graphics in halo 1&2 always freaks me out
especially on a xbox one x
If you live in the USA, yes. Otherwise, no, unless you’re not interested at all in matchmaking.
100% yes.
- It’s a great value even if you just want to play single player.
- MM has been fixed and it finds matches quickly.
- It’s been worth it for a while (as someone said), but now it’s not even a question.

H2A Forge still has major bugs (they didn’t fix any of those). I haven’t tried online multiplayer. But the H2A campaign is nice. And now that it has offline LAN, I may give it a second look. Considering this comes with EVERYTHING, it’s a good deal. But I still prefer to play the original games on the Xbox 360, because I think those games are more polished.

Since the update my campaign has frozen twice and I haven’t been able to connect to One online match… I’m extremely irritated… Also had to reinstall the entire game and update again to find out matchmaking will kit work and I’ve done literally everything. 5 hours and no answers

A lot of us can’t find a game or get dropped before game starts. It’s been a real peace of garbage and waste of time. Morrowind had less bugs
You can find a game. Bugs still there extreme lag still there. Soft lag switches still here. People idle in ranked games. People leaving the game is common every game. Unfair teams every game
But you can find a match
Oh and the lag experience is going to get worse after they make further allowances for those players with poor internet quality into matches on the 15th.
RIP again halo
If you live in the USA region yes you should buy it

Bugs and glitches are still there. They will probably never go away with the current development team that’s handling this project.
However MCC itself is a great buy and an good value for how much you get on one disc.
Myself and my brother have stopped playing due to the quitters, AFC’s, framerate issues in H3, and lack of JIP. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to play customs or campaign.

Um… with the newest update? Yes. Granted, if you still have your old copies of Halo 3, ODST, and even Halo 4, then I would recommend holding onto those, because the MCC now gives you the option of choosing which games you want to install onto your X-Box One console. Multiplayer has been improved with the new update, although it isn’t perfect, and your armor customization options will be limited when compared to the 360 versions of H3 and H4. Still, if you just want the campaigns and the the remastered Halo 2 Anniversary and Halo CE Anniversary with campaign scoring, then throw caution to the wind and grab it. I would recommend getting a physical copy, however, as digital downloads can be rather… temperamental.
It’s on game pass, so no reason not to at least try it
Matchmaking is only worth it if you plan on playing in a party at this point. Too many idle players, quitters and betrayers more often than not otherwise.
if youve played halo 2 or halo 3 during their popular times (2004-2010), your experience on mcc will not be as good as that but its still pretty fun if you have equally matched players. Games are unfair usually which leads to around 30-40% of the people quitting or getting absolutely steamrolled. If you have game pass, then give it a try but if you dont have gamepass, dont worry about getting it.
Yes!
