Boltshot. This is the stupidest weapon in Halo 4. WTF were the developers thinking on this one? “OMFG! I Have a great idea! Let’s have a pistol that can kill people in one shot!! And you get to spawn with it!!”
This has got to be the stupidest thing in Halo 4 in my opinion. Sure, I don’t die from it all that often, but when I do, they kill me from a ridiculous distance. It’s basically got the range of the UNSC Shotgun. And supposedly they nerfed it? HAH! If they did, it wasn’t a significant amount, and I don’t think it was the range or damage that was nerfed.
They basically let people spawn with a shotgun in this game… now who the hell thought that was a good idea?? Whoever it was should be fired from 343i. And if it was multiple people, fire them all.
This weapon better not be back in Halo 5, and if it is, take out the 1sk charge feature. It’s -Yoinking!- ridiculous. And I know this thread will probably get locked, but I could really care less.
if you “could care less,” then do it or get the saying right
the idea of the Boltshot isn’t bad, the problem is that you get to start with it. If anything, the versatile usage-style weapons should be welcomed since it is pretty cool design. It isn’t really possible to nerf it without making it an altered Plasma Pistol so the best solution is to just keep it as is and make it a pick-up/power weapon, assuming it is kept for future installments
I like using the Boltshot…I think the Storm Rifle is the worst gun in game. They need to reduce the spread and increase range on that mother sucka! lol
The shotgun style charge-up is the only useful thing about it, the single shots do little to no damage. A few things that would make it a cool weapon, the cross of magnum & plasma pistol are listed below.
-Boltshot Nerf
-Charge-up uses all 10 “bullets” in magazine
-Charge-up can only remove shields
-Single shots do the same damage as magnum, or close
The first thing would encourage the charged function to be used less, for conservation of ammo. The second would address the OP power this “pocket shotgun” posses. And lastly, this would make the single shots somewhat useful. What do you think?

Whhhaaattt? The Storm Rifle is truly a beast of a gun! Ever since I got my UNSC Loadout Mastery, I’ve been using almost nothing but the Storm Rifle and Carbine, and I gotta say that the Storm Rifle is an excellent gun to use, hands down.

I think this is a great idea. However, I think it should use half of your total ammo, OR all 10 bullets in the magazine if that equals more than half of your ammo. And like someone said, it’s a pretty cool idea, it’s just frustrating that people get to spawn with it.

I would use the storm rifle, but the AR is the best for burst shots. PS I also have protector.

What I think you should do is instead of making a burst waste all 10 projectiles, it wastes 9 and saves the last bullet for a headshot. That way it still retains some degree of usefulness.
