Worst unlocking system ever

You want a specific piece of gear? Hope you like completely random picks and most of the time not getting armor at all!

Are we talking about destiny?

no unfortunately not. Completing the mcc on legendray for helioskrill was cool and felt rewarding, but this randomness of getting things sucks. They should’ve kept the armor out of req packs.

I wouldn’t know as to my knowledge I haven’t unlocked anything.

And where the hell did the daily and weekly objectives go? Didn’t want people actually getting Req at a decent rate so you could sell your -Yoink- packs?

OMG I totally forgot about the daily and weekly’s, now I miss them. Damn…

So many complaints about this game. I loving the game myself. If I get a cool armor fine, if I dont fine. I’ve played to the point where I now have 136000+ req points. I forget all about gold packs. But to each his own.

This is one thing I wish they would change. They could still keep the cosmetics in the req pack but why don’t they make a goal to unlock a specific piece of armor. For example Splatter 10 enemies in one war zone match for the Lime Green visor shield.
The randomness needs to change.

You know if you buy just silver packs for all the uncommon to rare permanent unlocks and then gold for the remaining ultra - legendary unlocks

It will cost less then 3 millon req points.

If you buy nothing but gold. You will spend more then 4.5 million req points.

Either way. Looking at it, it’s still faster and cheaper REQ points/ Cr to unlock everything on halo 5 then it is on Halo Reach.

Looking at this and able to unlock a silver pack every 2 matches. It’s doesn’t feel bad at all and I’m enjoying the unlock process

You must be hacking the game to get 5000 req points in two matches. I get 800 for team slayer and about 1400 for a -Yoink- game of Warzone.

Exactly. The entire req system is a poor idea. Way too random. It upsets the balance of multiplayer on warzone for sure. You have to give each team the same weapons & vehicles to start to make it fair. Halo 4 BTB did it. BF4 does it. They are well balanced & fun. The multiplayer experience needs to be about teamwork & skill, not which team randomly has better req cards than the other. And yes some people have paid for better req cards which gives them the opportunity to do better in multiplayer. not saying it’s pay to win but it’s pay to possibly get an advantage the other team may not have. Just plain & simple lacks any sort of balance. I paid $60 for this game. I should not have to pay any more to compete with people shell out money for req pack advantages.

I absolutely agree. Halo 5 multiplayer was evidently built around creating a very heavy incentive for players to spend money on requisition packs. Personally, I feel no sense of progression in Halo 5 multiplayer, unlike the superior virtual currency-based Halo Reach unlock system. Everything feels random, and I play simply for the thrill of helping my team in completing objectives and doing well in competitive matches. I’m hoping against hope that 343i can see the light and exclude this requisition-based unlock system, as well as micro-transactions, from Halo 6. Is there a petition I can sign to improve the chances of this happening?

They aren’t hacking, you get more req based on your level, i’m at level 81 and average 2,000 each warzone win.

I get about that amount as well, but if Omega Zer0 is right, and it will cost approximately 3,000,000 req points to unlock everything, then you’re looking at 1,500 games of Warzone. According to another post on the Halo Waypoint, an average game of Warzone lasts approximately 22 minutes, therefore you’re looking at 550 hours, or 22.9 days, of gameplay to unlock everything. And that’s assuming you earn a minimum of 2,000 points per game of Warzone. You can’t deny that this is the definition of grinding.

I have max unlocks, I don’t know why we don’t just work for what we want at this point.

Look at it this way.

You unlocked emblems you don’t want. You’ll never get it again. That rules out that possibility for the next time.

It’s a completely awful system that everybody hates, however it allows 343 to milk people with microtransactions so they don’t care.

Remember when you actually unlocked amrour through specific tasks? Getting the Katana for 1000 gamerscore? Or Hayabusa for collecting all the skills? That stuff was fun and rewarding. Good times.

I still dont understand how anyone could defend 343 for this garbage system

I find it exciting once you start opening golds. I didn’t enjoy the silver pack grind but I definitely enjoy opening golds and knowing I have a high chance of mythics
