Call me crazy but I think Reach, H4, and H2A maps would be really good in H5 and in reverse H5 maps would be better in H4.
Actual developer maps would be appreciated. However I think the forge maps are almost there. Halo 6 Forge will really be the game changer.
We should have forge specific maps
I really like forge maps, above all the one from BTB, but i have to say it has bugs and technically seems quite different from maps made by 343.
I hope they can update Halo 5 fixing all these bugs.

Really? I found them to be a hell of a lot better than their original counterparts.
I personally think alot of the Forge maps are great but I only have experienced the BTB forge maps. Not all of them are great but maps like Scavenger, Dispelled and Boulevard are some of the best BTB maps I’ve ever played on any Halo and they look great too, barely recognizeable as Forge maps imo.But your right about 343 needed to make more quality disc maps, especially at launch like Halo 3 had for example. Forge maps in mm are a great thing and gets the community involved but 343 has relied a little too much on them in Halo 5.I mean the launch map lineup was pathetic and the worst map lineup for any Halo in my opinion. We just need a better balance of both forge and developer maps in halo 6.Beautiful maps like Mercy show what 343 is capable of,also the BTB maps in Halo 4 like Meltdown were great, but we need alot more of that.
Forge maps can be good, and have the potential to be great. Sucks that some of the initial ones from 343 blew chunks, but it’s hardly a reason to hate on them as a whole.
I think the forgers make better Halo maps than the devs.

They’re way too cluttered for full shields, there’s so much cover it makes the pistol useless. Also, motion sensor + shotgun starts turn it into a crouch and sit in a corner game. If you check anybody’s service record for breakout. The shotgun is by far their tool of destruction.
I actually quite like forge maps in Halo as it provides a fresh flow of maps at no cost to the developer. Also, I think it’s worth pointing out that paid DLC would fragment an already small player population and thus make it unplayable, especially to players outside the US.

You want more re skinned 343 maps?
Half of the “new” non forged arena maps are just an old 343 map with a different aesthetic…

It seems your problem isn’t the maps, it’s the new breakout gameplay.

remember the halo 4 dlc maps those were all trash. at least theres a chance to have better maps when they are choosing from community maps

And Halo 3, and Halo Reach had forge maps, as well as paid DLC. We can do both. If the community are the ones making the Forge maps, then that should free up 343i to make Dev maps.
Also, there are other options. Gears 4 has paid maps, that are free for all users in MM. Why couldn’t 343i do something similar to that?
I also think the real reason DLC was done away with was the mess 343i made of Halo 4. You can’t sell MP DLC when no one plays your game, and the DLC was extremely poor, especially compared to Halo 2 and Halo 3.
The forge maps play pretty well in my opinion.
The forge maps are some of the best designed maps in the game. Why do you want them removed?
Forge maps are great, I’d say 343 isn’t utilizing them well enough. I see so many great BTB/Infection maps and wonder why on earth they neglected to add them in…

It doesn’t play well for me, oh wait that’s most of the maps for me, no wonder I don’t play arena.

In Halo 3, you were locked out of basic playlists you previously had access to if you didn’t have the DLC. Then when ODST came out, the price increased from $40 to $60 by shoving the map packs in. So if you:
- Don’t play multiplayer
- Don’t want the map packs
- Already have the map packs
- Or for some reason, don’t have Halo 3You are paying more money for the same content.
In Halo Reach, the population of DLC playlists were poor, so they integrated them into regular playlists again for a while. This time, instead of locking people out, the only way to play a DLC map is to essentially play Triple RNG with the entire lobby.
Halo 4 was the nail in the DLC coffin, but there was already quite a coffin there.
Aren’t people throwing fire at Gears 4 because they have both a season pass and microtransactions, along with a poor payout of games to get packs for free? I haven’t been paying attention.

Probably. I don’t agree with MTs in AAA games. And they didn’t talk about the MTs in Gears 4 for a long time.
My point was there are other options. We could have a season pass and paid DLC, but still allow that content to be free for match making. While still having community made forge maps.
