Worst part of Multiplayer

Is when I get deranked because some random person leaves or gets disconnected. Why am I punished for someone else? It sucks when I am a few wins away from hitting diamond 1 and some jerk rage quits halfway through the game.

What if the option for quitting a match is eliminated. What if, like in one of the Forza games if I’m not mistaken, an avatar keeps playing even if you disconnect the plug. In this last case, they would be a sitting duck each time they re-spawn. Whatever is decided to be done, it should be just a matter of programming. I know it’s not easy, but it’s not impossible.

In my opinion, one of the few things that Dota 2 really gets right is how quitting is handled. If someone quits, the game doesn’t count towards player ranking for matchmaking. I believe Halo 5 should do something similar. If a player quits out, the CSR for that match should be thrown out the window, especially since one person quitting is followed by others. There’s no reason to punish innocent players for others quitting.

Doesn’t this just encourage people to quit once they’re sure they can’t win a match, or does the quitter get hit with some massive penalty?
