Worst HALO to Date, No Doubt About It.

You know, I tried to give this game a chance, but it is simply not that good. 343 tried to fix up Halo 4’s mess and gave us something even worse than that. Instead, we are granted a stripped down Halo game with far less content than previous installments and including Call of Duty, hell even Black Ops 3 has more content than this “Halo”. And before you call me a CoD fanboy, I have been a bigger fan of the Halo series than I have been a fan of Call of Duty. So no, don’t point figures at me and call me a troll because I criticized your game. Now, let’s begin as to why this game is not very good.

  1. The silly REQ packs, yes those. I get it, you didn’t want to make these things unfair towards the person who isn’t as fortunate enough to spend thousands of dollars on packs. But did you have to make them give out such garbage when you have to spend your hard earned points? Literally, I sold every one of my cards and played a couple games to earn atleast 50K points, and when I finally spent them, I felt as if I had been ripped off! BS commons and uncommons, with the occasional armor that wasn’t even legendary or EVEN RARE! Really?! I spent that amount of time spamming X and playing the broken Warzone modes to try and get the DMR, but all I got was a middle finger by the terrible RNG loot system. And people say Destiny was bad, hell at least you got something worth it sometimes. I mean it’s okay if I didn’t get the DMR, but by giving me nothing but the worst and ugliest looking armor and silly emblems is infuriating at best… and speaking of those:

  2. Armors/Emblems and Skins. WHY are these things locked by behind REQs? What is the reasoning for this, besides to constantly annoy the player? I don’t want to spend points to get a 1-100000 chance of getting something cool instead of a useless Needler that I won’t even use. Was it that hard to make armor unlockable by leveling up OR MAYBE letting us purchase armor with our points! But then that would require some actual though, wouldn’t it 343? And don’t even get me started on why EMBLEMS are locked behind silly REQs. Skins, as I think while typing this, I guess could be fine left alone in these packs but everything else is a big no. What a joke.

  3. Going back to armors, why do so many have of them have stupid variants? Couldn’t these variants JUST be unlocked when I got the main helmet? “Oh, I have enough to buy another pack! I wonder what I’ll ge… oh just another Mark V helmet with stripezZZ!!!” (Example)

  4. Okay… why do we only have 4 Warzone maps? Hell, I didn’t even know that City one existed until just about a week ago! Why can’t you guys spend some of your time and give us more DLC maps for Warzone instead of Arena for once? And stop using the same layout for the bases! What are you, Rockstar Games? How about getting some creativity in your little meetings for DLC and make it so that each armory or core area is laid out differently than the previous map to change it up a bit? Instead of the Treyarch route where it’s: LEFT, MIDDLE, RIGHT.

I’ll give you this 343, your gameplay is actually pretty good. You achieved getting some good, smooth gameplay. Playing the previous Halo’s made me think how boring they are just based on how slow you move. OH AND FIX MCC, THE MENUS ARE HORRIBLE.

  1. GIVE US PVE WARZONE ALREADY, seriously. If I recall, you said you would be listening to the fanbase more. Well where is this mode? A lot of people, myself included, would love to see this implemented to take place of Firefight or lolcringeyops. Survival types, eliminating bosses that require loads of players would be hectec and add to Halo 5.

Other than that, I will continue to play this game and hopefully it will grow on me and I will enjoy it. But so far, I can’t as these things just only push me away and away. Please 343, I am already tired of you as a company because of your inability to fix MCC. I want to like you guys, but so far you are showing me you do not care about your fans at all.

You forget: Halo 4 exists. Hated the multiplayer, and I refuse to finish it’s campaign due to how boring it was.

2 of your points are the same, 3 of them have nothing to do with the gameplay aspect of the game, and the other only looks at half of the multiplayer. Not really the best arguement you have created. ps. until you unlock the commons and uncommons expect to get them in gold and silver packs alot.

4 was worst. 5’s campaign is worse and there is not much multiplayer to judge in the first place.

Those 2 points were seperated because if you have noticed when you browse forums, most users won’t bother reading the full thing, especially if it’s a huge block of text. And I wasn’t directly targeting gameplay, because I said that it was enjoyable compared to the previous Halos. Most of this post is aimed at the Microtransactions and their content. But thank you for reading the post, not many people do that and will just post nonsense!

You guys at least gotta give H4 credit for being finished at launch, and having full content. I can at least go back and play flood, oddball, grifball, dominion, extraction, regicide, and ricochet on a bunch of mostly decent non-forged maps. H5 has zero outlets for fun.

Sadly true, the game is more like CoD now, the REQ system has ruined the potential of what Warzone could have been and is heavily unbalanced. Rather earn skins, etc… by challenges instead of endless farming of REQ packs, yes it does seem stupid that there making separate armour with minor changes just for the sake of filling up the armour sets instead of actually making more maps.

Sadly wish 343i could be bothered making more Warzone maps instead of the over-use of arena maps, even BTB get’s ignored and over-run with nothing but BTB maps. The games general game-play seems mostly about BR/Pistol spam, just feels like a CoD game. Sure PVE would be interesting if they bother to do it since it actually means a reason to bother using the REQ items since at the moment I’m just selling most of the REQ junk. It would be nice if they fixed MCC too.

Sure Halo 4 had more content than 5, yep Halo 5 lacks a lot of content, we’re slowly getting new game-types but we barely have anything.
