Why?
I agree with you somewhat.
I think 343 could have done a lot better with their storytelling in Halo 4, but I liked the graphics.
i thought i was good
The Halo 4 story is pretty awesome considering the different perspective after the Human-Covenant War. The multiplayer was horrid and customization was at a minimum.
I feel the opposite as the OP. The graphics and campaign pushed the 360 to its limits. The campaign story was GREAT. Never had I felt so good to hate Del Rio and watch him get fired. Never have I cried man tears so hard than when cortana died. Never have we had a vehicle with RECHARGABLE health (shields). Never have we got to fly a pelican and tear through defensive walls of phantoms. Never have we got to fly ourselves in a broadsword through a maze of forerunner ship defenses. Never before have we seen the Warriors who are specifically made to kill flood.

Pushed too the limit -Yoink- the graphics had really bad low res textures while halo 3 and halo reach had high res textures for most of all textures and details and the new art direction looks nothing like the halo universe.

Playing the MCC, going from Halo 3 to 4 was a big step down. It’s amazing how well Halo 3 still holds up.
I thought 343i did well with it.
Halo 4 was pretty amazing. The graphics were outstanding for being a 360 game. I have no idea what your problem is.
In my opinion I loved Halo 4 and about the graphics, Halo 4 was the best looking game to come out on the 360 gen in my opinion!

Since this is an opinion and not a fact, you would have to ask the person who has the opinion. Seems to me that would be you. Good luck trying to figure out why you didn’t like a good story with good graphics.
I thought the story was pretty good, although muddled a little in the telling, as video game stories always are, as Bungie stories always were. Campaign game play was too linear and repetitive, as campaigns always are, as Bungie campaigns always were.
I thought the visuals were amazing given the limitations of the platform. I expect H5 to exceed everything that has come before it, regardless of franchise or platform.
If you didn’t like the story, well, I guess that’s a personal thing. But if you didn’t think the game looked good then you probably need a new TV.
I consider these two to be the things h4 has over the other halos…
I think Halo 4 did one thing truly brilliantly, the relationship between Cortana and Chief aswell as Chief being in direct denile that Cortana is bound to die. The game is not a bad game by any standards, but as a halo game it’s a weak entry. However Chief and Cortana’s relationship was by far the best part of the narrative, and Steve Downes and Jen Taylor really brought their A-Game to this project, much respects!
Halo 4 was 343’s first game afterall, and hopefully they’ve learned alot from that now that they’ve been working on Halo 5. I really love what we’ve seen and heard about Guardians so far, can’t wait for it to release!
I love Halo 4 and it got over 40 developer awards. Graphics are great and the storyline was great. they have to stick to the storyline, they can’t change the story they’ll screw halo up

Me too, I didn’t see a problem with it.
I feel the same, it was GREAT!!!

This right here I can agree with. One of the most heart wrenching moments for me was at the station by the Halo ring. All those people taken by the Composer. Nothing left but their dust and an echo of screams. It still chills me to the bone thinking about that and what happened at New Phoenix. We were also able to see the Chief start to get in touch with his humanity.
I think conceptually the story was great, however, the delivery was horrid. I couldn’t stand the storytelling in this one. But I thought the graphic were quite good!
I like the graphics, the assassinations animations were well perfected about Halo Reach.
