Something has to change with this awful matchmaking experience (playing solo in team arena) (will not play slayer at all since its a campground always with dead-awful maps)
Past 12 games of team arena, 9 out of those were complete unfair matching of teams, For an instance, in one game, my team were 1 platinum(3), 3 diamond(under 4), and other team were all onyx (two in 1700s) - We got rekt, stood zero chance with the plat guy. Second game, opposing team were all onyx, my team were 4 diamond, we did alright but still lost. Third game, my last game from earlier, A clan ranked in onyx (1700s), versus my team of platinum and diamond again, we lost brutally…And this is only 3 games i mentioned out of countless i played with complete unfair teams. Many times dropping rank from diamond 6 to 2 or 5 to 1, etc currently at 5
This unfair matchmaking is pitiful garbage, 343’s new ranking system is absolute trash and something needs to be done for solo players
It is really bad. Teams of 3 should be matched with teams of 3 with a rando on each team.
Teams of 4 should be matched with other teams of 4.
It is utter trash when randoms get matched against a full team.
Halo 3 had the ability to do this, that was 2007.
They want casual players to play Halo yet the system they have in place is alienating the casual player.

I have no problem with matchmaking , AZ end up meeting a lot of players because of the endless chatter in the background that’s not constructed to the game.
I’m not in any real position to say one way or the other because I don’t really play in arena. But I will say that the reason I don’t is because the experience you’re describing is more or less exactly the experience that I had in Halo 3. That experience was so terrible that I stopped playing ranked game types, and now, almost nine years later, I still don’t want anything to do with them. Reading posts like this only reaffirms my conviction that ranking systems do not work. It doesn’t matter what the game is, it doesn’t matter how many Quinn DelHoyos you hire to fine-tune your ranks, it doesn’t matter how well-intended you were when you devised the system… they are all garbage. They always have been and they always will be.

My issue is that they make it too easy for those who can mod to win, I have maybe had 1 in every 50 matches not have at least 1 modder
I agree with the worst matchmaking ever… Will there be an MLG playlist ever? Or team doubles? Or head to head?? Matchmaking needs more to do… Btb, slayer, arena is pretty much all there is…
