I don’t think it’s terrible but it has a lot of room for improvement. IMO the worst halo game was ODST, it was sold as a full priced game but had less than half the content halo 3 had. I think halo 2 is overrated (still a great game). I think halo wars is the most underrated. Halo 3 is my personal favourite, best campaign IMO. Ithink halo reach gets way too much -Yoink-, Idk i like it. CE is good. Halo 4 was meh, take it or leave it (probs the second worst) My list is based off of halo standards, all halo games are ok at worst when compared to other shooters IMO.
Its between 4 and 5.
4 for the multiplayer alone and 5 for the garbage campaign, maps, and req system/microtransactions. Atleast 5 doesnt have that CoD feel like 4 did
Halo 4 still the worst to the date… at least in terms of multiplayer, guess it was the campaign what granted it the Game of the Year award, and it’s the only thing where H4 is better than H5.
Anyway, 343 should be worry, that both games that they developed have been bad and that even managed to screw the ones they remade is something really alarming.
The community is split. Anyone who loved 4/Reach seems to be disapointed in this game. Anyone that liked 2/3 seems to be genuinely happy with this game. (IN GENERAL!)
When all is said and done, yes, Halo 5 is the worst Halo game.
Although Halo 4 had a worse core multiplayer component, I did genuinely enjoy the campaign and still do. Halo 5 is a mess from top to bottom. Having a better core multiplayer than Halo 4 doesn’t mean much when it still isn’t the type of Halo game I want to play. So the multiplayer starts off at ‘meh’ even before we get to the embarrassing lack of content and the addition of micro transaction in a full price title.
Even then I was still willing to give Halo 5 a chance and I though I might just become a campaign only Halo player since I still trusted 343 to put out a solid campaign. Boy was I wrong to give them that trust. Not only was the story terrible, it made the ending of Halo 4 meaningless in retrospect. It actually killed my interest in exploring new Halo EU content in its entirety. I gave the Halo 4 campaign a bit of slack given that they were a still forming developer at the time, yet 343 doesn’t seem to have improved at all. The whole game is still filled with baffling design decisions(fighting the same boss 6 times? really?) on top of an inability to actually bring out a level of content one should expect from a Halo game and even some of the stuff that did make it in launch still had serious problems(coughTheatercough).
Halo 5 is a disappointment at all levels and it is just heart breaking to see the franchise in this state.

It would be 100x better if they’d add Infection and some kind of community playlist for example. The req system is killing halo more than people think too.
War zone is fun when it’s balanced teams which isn’t very often. Arena is way…way to competitive it’s like the people are playing world champ finals every match and not all the weapons are balanced and yes the req system is a pile of -Yoink- I’m rank 58 and have opened well over 1000 silver req packs and still don’t have the DMR but I have two skins for it and the skill gap you can find in some matches as just ridiculous I had a war zone game I got 70+ kills because it was full of people who didn’t know how to play the game

I think it’s unfair bring Halo Wars to a comparison with all the others, it’s an entirely different gender, if you are going to compare it, better do so with other RTS, not with a lot of FPS.
Halo CE really doesn’t stand up in terms of multiplayer. The rest, well, I really can’t complain about much other than Halo 5’s story. Even that was at least fun to play.
I was still interested in buying the Limited edition now rather than when it was being released. It just looked like a mess that needed to be fixed up before I could have any interest in purchasing my copy.
So far I’m rather finding it difficult to get used to the controls. But I guess that’s only because I’m new to this halo’s control layout. Or I’m just turned terribly bad from not playing an Halo game since atleast the end of halo 4’s dlcs.
No, it’s not. There hasn’t BEEN a bad Halo.
None of them have been perfect, but none of them have been bad. That being said, we have this damn discussion every time a new game is released.

I love the mobility this game gives in its multiplayer. The campaign was trash.
Well the fact that I was play and the servers dropped me from five warzone games today doesn’t help. 343 fix your freakin server!!! Don’t think this Nostalgic DLC thing will blind us for your idiotic mistakes. It’s not that hard to make a solid halo game, Bungie did it 5 times. And no one tell me its my internet connection because I have a strong connection.
