I know! Halo 4 was totally CoD with AL and bloom!

Worst Halo to date?

I dunno, I’m married, so I’ve been out of the dating scene for quite some time. Can’t honestly say I’d go for a video game, but to each their own.

That’s not what OP meant…oh…uh…

I’ve played them all (the FPS ones anyhow) since Halo:CE. I’d say some of the “fun” factor seems to be missing, the glitches in previous games made some hilarious stuff happen. Like in Reach BTB, walk around a corner and finding myself face to face with a wraith, start shooting it and thinking to myself, “Well I’m hosed.” Wraith boosts at me, clips a wall and goes absolutely rocketing skyward. A second later I got credit for the kill. Now glitches are people hiding in the walls to ruin a game of Warzone Assault, meh.

Halo:CE - Chief always felt slow
Halo 2 - didn’t play much online, but dual-wielding always felt a little complicated
Halo 3 - could have used something like Halo 2’s clan feature (even though I didn’t get into it, it always sounded good)
Halo 3:ODST - for gameplay consistency increased jump height and allowed ODSTs to use gravity hammer and remove turrets
Halo Reach - I used Armor Lock almost exclusively at the beginning b/c trolling rockets and ghost splatters was hilarious, but AL was broken as it started
Halo 4: The drop in reqs that could get stolen without you laying a hand on them
Halo 5: Bad spawns, armor permutations meaningless

All of them have their flaws, but they all have ways of being fun too.

not at all, this one is the most fun

5 definitely was an upgrade from 4 multiplayer wise but story wise they went backwards

> Oh so you want to be able to mess around without ruining your K/D and W/L? That makes sense.

I look at my 343 stats as a validation of my worth as a teammate. I try to get more positive performance than bad, it makes sense. Do good, and people like to stick with you.

Halo 5’s problem is that there is no escape. There is no playlist where I don’t have to worry about being good enough. Without stat tracking, of course I’d still try, but maybe I could practice with Boltshot or Hydra launcher more instead of sticking to the best I can do. I’m not one to complain about losing to a team. It happens, no one can win 100% all the time. My concern is for a playlist where winning and losing doesn’t matter on a stat card or anything. A place where I can mess with weapons and strategies without digging myself into a '‘negative’ stat hole or something like that. Now if stat tracking is turned off and someone rages about losing, they’ve got bigger issues.

Please see my above post. I care about stats not to be the best, but as a validation that ‘Hey, I am a decent teammate and carry my weight.’ There is no playlist where I can mess around with eccentric weapons because everything goes on my little stat card. I don’t rage about losing or doing bad, it happens sometimes. but there should be an option to not worry about that at all. And if someone still rages when they lose without stat tracking, they’ve got other issues.

Worst Halo game? Absolutely

Bad game overall? Nah

I think its just hard for us to accept change. It is different I have been here since Halo CE. But so far I’m enjoying five again I stopped for a while still waiting to see if more updates but I think true halo fans like the change I personally love the 1v1 pistol battles in the middle of arena or something competitive and halo is as best as it gets IMO.

This thread is cancer

This one make me want to play it so i disagree.

Guess you didn’t play Halo 4?

Halo 5, at its core, has a solid foundation. The gameplay is great. However, there are too many little things that turn me off to the game. Such as social playlists having hidden ranks and counting towards arena win/loss percentage. I joined a big team strongholds game where we were getting dominated and the enemy had a triple cap. I just left the game. Also I see some people on waypoint who get ranked Diamond and Onyx in social playlists like grifball and fiesta. What the actual -Yoink- man? I thought these playlists were supposed to be social. Another problem is the servers. With each new update, the servers get worse. I don’t lag on any other game nearly as much as I do on halo 5. Then there’s the arena radar. It’s awful and infuriating at times. By the time you see them on radar they’re already within spartan charging distance. These are just a few of the things that I don’t like about halo 5.

Insert that competitive pancake flipping mode into multiplayer and things would be different.

Beneath the Commonwealth there is a cancer… known as Halo 5, a malignant growth that needs to be cut before it infects the surface.

In attempting to play god, 343 created a monster. Halo 5 was not born from the womb of a loving developer, it was built in the cold confines of a laboratory.

Lmao. Reminds of the Newborn Xenomorph from Alien Resurrection

I was referencing Elder Maxson from Fallout 4.

Used to think this till I relived Halo 3. Yes the customs and matchmaking were 10x better, but the gameplay was pretty bad. The spread on the BR was awful, and having to lead your shots at an opponent who was 5 ft from you was frustrating. Not to mention the equipment that I’m glad they took out (mostly bubble shield). Go replay the H3 playlist on MCC, I guarantee the bullet spread will make you rage. If the BR was in Reach and it didn’t have loadouts/armor lock, Reach would’ve had better gameplay.

Also I think Halo 2 had the best.

I’m still conflicted. The story was garbage, the gameplay is great but the community is hyper competitive now. It’s not so much the worst game as it is just not fun anymore.

I still go back to halo 3 and I think it was the best halo ever. Best matchmaking. Dividing it into social and ranked playlists was the best idea ever from Bungie. Best maps in a halo game. Highest skill gap out of any of the halo games if you ask me. And the BR was the best BR. Not the overpowered BR from Halo 2 or the extremely accurate BR from halo 5. It took a lot more skill to use.
