Then don’t worry about your stats. Who cares if you have a negative or positive K/D ratio. These games were created so people can have fun.

I personally feel the campaign is definintly the worst to date, but that’s my opinion. Personally the multiplayer is decent, but to me it feels a bit too competitive and for some reason the aim feels a little funny to me, but it doesn’t really bother me that much. I honestly just tend to enjoy the older Halos like 3 and Reach much more. Probably not the worst to me (For me personally that’d go to 4), but i tend to have a few more issues with it than the other titles

Another one of these? No i find it very fun as well as many people.

I like that it’s not casual at all. Playing Star Wars battlefront, I would rather have a try hard game than a very casual experience every time.

At-least it has a PvP unlike ODST.

H4 = COD AW

You people make me sick, you really do. People that bad talk Halo 5 are a literal cancer that needs to be purged. Seriously, get over yourselves.

Either Halo 5 or Halo: Reach.

I’d say Halo 5 has the weaker story. Halo 5’s story was terrible and I hated how they removed everything I loved about Halo 4. It combines the weak characters and storytelling of Halo 3, and the unnecessary retcons of Halo: Reach. Halo 5’s story features an illogical direction for the franchise, underdeveloped and overshadowed characters, along with a terrible ending. It was a subpar experience from beginning to end, with the only enjoyable parts being the bits on Sanghelios. Everything else is just bad or feels like a wasted opportunity.

I really, really, really hated Halo: Reach’s multiplayer. Everything from the terrible maps taken from the campaign, armor lock, unbalanced AAs, armor lock, bloom, armor lock, slow movement speeds and ARMOR LOCK. I had very little enjoyment with it and it set Halo’s multiplayer in a terrible direction in regards to game mechanics. But at least Halo 5 is balanced and Halo 4 had better maps and pacing. Despite all of the hatred for Halo 4, I actually had quite a lot of fun with it. Especially Legendary Slayer. Halo: Reach’s multiplayer mostly bad, and its campaign wasn’t exactly great either, as I mentioned above.

This one has the worst campaign, but multiplayer is amazing. This is the most i’ve played in a while. Halo 4’s multiplayer was meh.

No. The worst Halo is without a doubt, Halo 4. This was the game that destroyed customs and file sharing, brought in literal killstreaks, removed weapons from the map, had random ordnance, had no skill ranks whatsoever, ruined Forge, made sprint a default ability, brought custom loadouts into Halo, and replaced Firefight with Spartan Ops.
Halo 5’s campaign was trash, but it has solid gameplay and ranked playlists. In other words, it had redeemable qualities. Halo 4 had none and it was just all-around bad.

Not terrible but my least favorite for sure. Opposite of my play style liking zone.
Not a fan of the art style direction either, overall hardly recognize Halo.

no way

Can we stop making threads like these?

Halo 4, yuck

I don’t think it’s the worst, but the experience that comes with it is. The advertisements for the campaign were beyond misleading, and in all fairness, a -Yoinking!- joke.

Don’t get me wring, I like that they tried doing something new by adding new game types like Warzone, even if that has more flaws than Stephen Hawking’s black hole theory did.

Arena is almost beyond unplayable if you’re in it to relax and enjoy Halo for that traditional feel.

Every game type you play, is beyond competitive. Yeah, I’ve heard every counter argument to that statement alread… “It’s a shooter where you’re supposed to win.” “Stop caring about your stats.” “It’s not that competitive, not near as much as (insert blah blah blah here).” I’ve heard them all, yet the only ones arguing it, are the guilty culprits that ruin it for everyone. Think I’m wrong? Go into Warzone solo during prime time game time (typically around 10 PM, any time zone) and you let me know how many matches it takes, before you end up against a full party of 12, and the lowest level is 145+. Now, when that happens, let me know how long it takes for them to destroy your core (if you’re lucky enough for them to do that), or tell me how many times you die, before either A) you rage quit due to farming, or B) Just overall kills to deaths while they’re farming. Let me know how that makes you feel. Then, let me know how many people rage quit your team, without consequences mind you. Let me know how that goes.

After all of that, explain why any new players will want to even pick this game up. The whole point of a new game to to appease your loyal fans, and to try to entice new ones. I know plenty of people that have done their research on this game, and won’t even give it the time of day to spit at it because of things like this. When your loyal fan base is even saying it doesn’t have a Halo feel, aybe something should be done.

I’m just like most other people in saying that I try my hardest to have fun in this game, with no such luck. Why does a party of near maxed players, match up against level 20 Spartans? Why do they match up against anyone beyond another full party of near maxed? Oh, they wont find a game that way? Go play a custom game then, like most of you have suggested. “Stats shouldn’t matter.” Okay, than why pub stomp people if you already have all the unlocks? To what end? To boost your ego? To ruin the experience for everyone else? Because you’re a selfish -Yoink-? To what purpose? Oh, you want to power level? I can understand that, but you’re willing to ruin this game for X amount of people along the way? You’re a Halo fan, but actively pushing people away from the game?

I just can’t wrap my head around it. This has been a problem for so long, and yet, no answers and no solutions. Everyone just has this really lame reaponse of, “well if you don’t like it, go play custom games.” “Than don’t play it.” “(Insert something that is counter productive here).”

When a social playlist, is just as competitive as a ranked playlist, something needs to be done drastically. I’ve been an avid Halo fan, since the first one, and love how much traction this game had/has. With that being said, the competitive scene is awesome, but keep thay seperate from everyone else who plays Halo to relieve stress and get away from it all for a while. Is that really too much to ask?

Hopefully Firefight isn’t as flawed as Warzone turned out to be, and hopefully 343i actually listens to their fan base through these forums. The majority of what I’ve just said, has been the same topic by at least a solid 50% of the people through this forum. I’m not looking to make the game so I’m always on the winning team, but I am hoping to make the game so I get to finish it with all the members I started it with, and that’s after putting up a hell of a fight, whether that’s a fight to victory, or to an honorable loss.

As a casual, I find it very fun. Calm yourself.

I think the story was the worst yet, but otherwise. No it’s not.

Worst Halo to date? Halo 4, in my Not-So-Humble opinion.

The campaign was far too short for my tastes, and it all felt too…melodramatic. They alternated between overplaying and ignoring cortana’s rampancy. For me the worst was this:

At the end, where Cortana used her Rampancy Clones to attack the Diadact, it fell too much like Deus Ex Machina (I am not apologizing for the pun.) I was kinda hoping for a great boss fight like the one from Halo 2, where you run and gun to kill the big baddie. Instead, it is just "press these buttons one at a time to finish the game.

Nice joke

Like every Halo game is not perfect but come on…Halo 4. This game is way better.
