The Halo community has devolved to such a state that it is comparable to the Sonic fanbase. Literally any criticism of the game is instantly met with harsh backlash and people can’t seem to accept that a game they like is flawed.
You’ll find that almost every community (if not every community) is like this.
There differences and disagreements, unfortunately this causes conflict, but whatever.
I strongly defend 343 and the new saga, but I wouldn’t trade those who disagree with me for anything. It’s necessary to have different views and people with different mentalities, we just need to work to not let them get in the way of our relationships with each other. No need to hate one another over trivial crap.
That’s a very bold statement to make (and highly unlikely, considering most fanbases). At any rate, it depends on the criticism, really. Saying something constructively like, “Hello. Here are problems I have with the game, let’s discuss this,” is a good way to state an opinion. Saying something along the lines of, “I hate this game. It’s the worst. You all shouldn’t play it,” probably won’t be met with the same amount of decency as the first. The gist of it is that it all hinges on the person making the comment, how they go about it, etc. People like discussion, not needless negativity. Addressing issues that you have with the core gameplay is going to get you farther than mindlessly arguing about splitscreen or “WHERE IS MY FORGE?!”
Not saying that you personally do any of the aforementioned, just food for thought.
Have you seen the CoD and Destiny community? It’s x10 worse… I think that the Halo community is quite a bit more civilized. There will always be conflict between opinions though. That’s just the way it is.
All communities are like that.

The H5 community is pretty bad but the worst community title belongs to the destiny community.

While threads whining and complaining calling Halo garbage or that it’s going to die off are met with that harsh backlash. The problem isn’t the community, it’s the trolls and people trying to start a fight who don’t even care to be a part of it.

That’s got nothing to do with the forums here. Angry Joe gets flak for anything he does, and he’s not very civil himself. Hell, he wrongly accused Dirty Bomb of being pay to win, did he do the same thing with his Halo 5 review? If so, I can see why people are up in arms. Regardless, the people attacking Angry Joe do not make up the entire Halo community.

I watched a bit of Angry Joe. My Problem is his attitude and a bit of Arrogance - which he is like - every he say is an fact. Like the Critique about REQ System. If he don’t like it, it is okay.But he shouldn’t act its an Fact to approach all the REQ Haters.

No, its not. I agree with you, Halo Community got very toxic in the last Years, almost because of the 343i haters who acts like Bungie is a god(look at destiny no they aren’t even close) and 343i Fanboys - the Community is now splitted. But the Worst?! Nope, its not even near. There are much worsers Community. Console Forums - with these stupid -Yoink- Console-Fanboys. “Xbox Sucks mimimimi” “PS4 too mimmimimimi” “PC the -Yoink- race” mimimmimimimi". If you ask me, Internet per se is a cancer.
People are too anonym, so they don’t get any consequences for how they act. Even me, if i do here something wrong, what should i care?! I have still my reallife - i know no-one here, i can avoid these forum and go to next. In reallife, if i act false, it would impact my social life. People KNOW ME, and people would avoid me or other things woudl happen. I would have to take the consequences for what i did.
And also - most of the Posts here aren’t constructive anyway. Most if the Critiques are how such nostalgic Fanboys want that Halo 5 will be an Halo 3.5. But thats also how Gamers are nowdays. Back than as Diablo 2(as example) got new Features everyone was happy. Fresh Gameplay. And yeah Diablo 2 was amazing. But if people (and i talk about Diablo 1 player) would act so high and mighty Nostalgic Fanboyism like today with Diablo 3, Diablo 2 wouldn’t be near to the population as it was, because people back than would have be pissed too,because of Players who have actually played both and are fans of the series itself, would have known what impact that changes had. But on the Diablo 3 Changes everyone is mimimmimimimi no diablo mimimimi…
The same with Halo 5. Everyone, of these Halo Classic Purist -Yoinks!- ignore how much impact Dualwielding had of the Weaponbalancing, how WEAK most of the Weaposn got because of that. How the messed up Weapon-Balancing caused to reduce the Modes to one Weapon(BR), how it dumped down the skillplay etc. But yeah - people don’t care. Its not importand that 343i delivered us good weaponbalancing which actually makes all weapons useful. Nerf Pistol please because i can’t deal with the Fact that Pistol can pewpew kill someone. Its better its useless garbage. And bring back BR Starts because i only want pewpew aimingskill but i don’t need to have skill for handle situations and map control. Also -Yoink- on the more dynamic gameplay. I don’t care to get 175 pieces of Armor which actually fits together and look good, i want back my 30 Armorpieces which i can mix together, but 90 percent looks -Yoink- because they don’t fit. Etc etc etc.
I grew up with Halo. For me Halo 2 was one of the most Amazin Games ever! But i will, and in the future on, never stuck on the past. “Previously everything was better” (i don’t know if this are the correct words in English but in German[of course translated] its an old saw) I respect the old for what they did, but i’m openminded with new things as well. And Halo 5 feels like Halo but more evolved. If people can’t deal with it, they can go back and play TMCC or the real classic ones. If i want to play Diablo 2, i play diablo 2, i don’t need it that diablo 3 is the same -Yoink- as diablo 2. But okay, why should i wonder. Every year the most selling Games are CoD, Fifa etc. Games which every year are the same -Yoink- and people mindlessly throw money at that developers. Pay 60 Bucks for an (skin)UPDATE, activision is even that lazy to not even graphical update CoD. They know people still will happily throw money at them and with Destiny they have another Cashcow. But if i decide for myself, to support a dev, because they made a great Game, and supports the Competitive Spirit which is a bit lost in the Series over the Time, and buy “some”(not much) REQ Packs for Real Money, than i’m the idiotish bad guy who supports such things.
