Halo 3 by far was the worst in my opinion, it took me two months on my old account to beat the campaign on legendary. I blame the high charity mission for this. That mission was a nightmare. Flood attacking from all sides, few checkpoints, and tight corridors.

I think you are referring to the mission Cortanan which takes place on High Charity. It is a tough mission but I would say Gravemind in halo 2 is harder (which takes place on High Charity also haha)
for me, Halo 3 is the hardest and most annoying legendary campaign

Halo 3 was probably the hardest for just because it was the first one I ever did on legendary. CE and 2 have so many speed running tricks you can do to exploit them. If you just do them all straight up without any tricks tho, 2 is BY FAR the hardest

I’m going through Combat Evolved Anniversary, and it is the hardest Legendary campaign to me. The health pack system makes it difficult and the Warthog handles terribly. I honestly found Halo 2 and Halo 3 much easier.
I don’t know but aren’t the CE sheilds stream the as Halo 2 sheilds but with a faster recharge?
I am guessing by the worst you mean the hardest in which case for me it’s CE, still trying to do it.

Really? I have played through it countless times on Legendary and I wouldn’t say it was hard, I mean sure it’s a bit annoying at points like the bit with the two scarabs but I wouldn’t say it was that bad.
I have the MCC and I am in the progress of completing all 4 games on Legendary. Halo: CE was easy but sometimes it was a real pain like on “Two Betrayals” and the “Library.” Halo 3 I have also beat and Halo 3 was in my opinion, a little easier than Halo: CE. Some parts of the campaign were super difficult like the emission “Cortana” mission. I am in the process of beating Halo 2 and 4 on Legendary. But all in all, I would say Halo 2 was the hardest. After the release of Halo: CE, people wanted more of a challenge in Halo 2. So they bumped up the difficulty A LOT. So I would say Halo 2.

I think the shields are about the same, but Halo 2 does have a slightly faster recharge.
really, i know Cortana is hard but compared to Library from Halo CE its a walk in a park.
Both of those are very enjoyable even with Legendary. Halo 4 was so blah though

Agreed. The gravemind was the hardest IMO.
Yo Halo 2 took 2 months for me and my friend Halo 3 took like 3 days and 4, 5 days CE took a month but we abandoned it for like 2 weeks soo.

Halo 2 on Legendary. Hands down. Nothing comes close
