I can’t stand quitters as they tend to yoink over their teammates due to being selfish little yoinkers but I have been introduced to the one thing that is worse than a quitter.
Today in a CTF game I had a teammate actively try to keep us from scoring so he could pad his K/D ratio. He would attack our flag carrier (not kill, just wipe out shields so he couldn’t be banned for betrayals) and only after our flag carrier was killed did he kill the attacker. He would then grab the flag and throw it over the side (This was on empire) if another of our team was present causing an immediate flag reset so neither of my other teammates could grab it. If he was the only one present he would stand there and use the flag as bait until it returned but he wouldn’t grab it to score no matter how close to base. We obviously lost but he logged 16 easy kills to 5 deaths. Congrats you POS! You’re the reason CSR isn’t defined only on K/D ratio.
16 and 5 trying to stat pad? LOL thats a normal match for me in CTF
try going 30+ with single digit deaths, now THAT is stat padding
Agreed. I dont know why eveybody is complaining about quit bans. I know some are against it due to bad connection but honestly if they knew they had bad connection and knew there was quit bans they should have either gotten better internet or just stayed away from the game.

Insert your statement in any video game ever and you’d get world peace.
Ladies and gentlemen, the world of FPS’.
Not as bad as 2 AFK teammates in swat. The game wound up being an absolute slaughter since the enemy could very easily get 2 free kills every time the two AFK people respawned. It was a guaranteed loss and having no teammates as backup lead to a horrible K/D on my end(worse than normal that is) and barely any points on my team because there was only one teammate to possibly get a kill in the event I died. At least in the CTF match you could get a decent amount of kills even with the person stat padding(though 16-5 isn’t what I’d call stat padding as that’s an average game for some).

But are you also trying to capture the flag, or are you just playing for kills?
“Playing defense” is still just playing for kills.
That would definitely aggravate me.

Just because he isn’t good at it doesnt mean that wasnt what he was trying to do though. This had to be a frustrating game to be in.

I always feel bad for people who get screwed over because their teammates ditch them, which is why I play with as full of a fireteam as I can as much as possible so that doesn’t happen to me. But I’ve also had randos go around killing people for weapons or weakening their shields. It’s bs but there isn’t much we can do about it unfortunately.

Not everyone is Onyx level and were you actively trying to prevent your team from winning the match quickly so you could keep killing? I scored our 1 capture in less than a minute but he spent the next 5 minutes keeping us from scoring. I doubt you spend your normal match trying not to keep the match going so you can keep trying to boost your kill numbers.
Sounds like a troll/griefer.
Yeah, seen that in BTB myself. I was very annoyed with a person who constantly smacked shields out for teammates. And two pure betrayals. This dude was most likely a troll though. Reported him and hope he gets punished somehow.
What’s his tag? We should ALL report and message him!

Hopefully you reported and blocked their profile.

So I looked at your Game History the only flag game you played you did horribly bad in, Can you link this game as I don’t see it at all.

Correct. I didn’t name the player since I thought that was a no-no but that is the match I was referring to.

I spent that game trying to get the flag only since I had a teammate that wasn’t ever going to try (the same guy from the previous game) and the opposition was camping/playing defense at the flag. I had 5 grabs and was killed 5 times by the same guy. Not a coincidence. I also got killed near a score and my “teammate” stood there and let it reset (again). His strategy appears to be to lose matches to keep his CSR low so he can play opposition that is beneath his level.
