Did any of you guys ever think what halo would have looked
like with more gore and battle scars?
This all would take effect if your about to die and you either get shot, grenaded or meleed.
So if someone was 1 shot and i shot them in the head it would have
a different effect then throwing a grenade.
> Worn Armor when killed:

> Sword: When the sword would make contact with armor it would make a large

> Grenade: show chard burns and wear and tear of armor.

Just sniping someone in the head and it showing their visor blow out with
a huge hole with blood/gore would be amazing but not to the point like gears because that
is just way to much.
Im not talking about the gore in other games, im talking more realism to gore
in halo would just be awesome. Could you imagine shooting at someone and with that last bullet
to take their life that would blow a hole in their armor with some blood and chunks of armor missing.
Weapons like sword and explosive type weapons would show the most wear/damage
to your armor. Just seeing someone get sniped with blood squirting out as the bullet enters his
dome would just make a more realistic feel to the game.
Idk just a random thread that i thought would be cool.
What do you guys think, would you like gore or no? I’m not saying this would be needed but it
would bring more realism to halo.
I really don’t care, there are plenty of other games which people can go to to satisfy their blood lust so it isn’t really needed, it would just become another gimmick for the kids to gawk at.

Well, it seems to me like you want as most a realistic experience as possible which scares me. >.>
OT: I don’t really mind, it wouldn’t bother me at all once there wasn’t too much. I like how simple Halo is, it’s not a load of heads and other body parts flying all over the room.
Think about it, if they add gore, and keep the rag doll bodies, that will take a huge amount of horsepower on the engine, thus having to get rid of more features.

It wouldnt have to get that gory for it to be more realistic then it already is. I mean the sound of bullets hit armor now in halo would just be more satisfying with kills showing damage with your weapon.
Weapons like the sword would show more gore like being ripped in half. They wouldn’t have to put blood and guts everywhere like gears but maybe more blood.
They could also make the sword be more like a lightsaber in star wars and just cut people in half but not much gore.

I mean but really you don’t know, your not a game developer. I mean how do you what is and isn’t hard for game companies incorporate in their games.
If other games like gears or unreal tournament can have it and the game still plays fine then i don’t why it would be that hard for them to add. Also im not talking about it being as gory as gears just a tad bit more then it is.
Who knows, maybe halo 5 will have gore since they will have more memory on the next-gen console.

Halo has some very powerful weapons than Gears, to be potrayed accurately and realistically. like for instance , take the Plasma rifle or even the Plasma pistol , they are said to be so powerful that they could even burn their way through the densest of materials. So fighting as the Chief alongside the ever dying marines would be pointless since you lose them the minute they enter the battlefield. Gore would dampen the fun yet serious atmosphere Halo presented us and I think Bungie did indeed give us some gore from Halo Ce to Halo 3 in the form of flood combat forms. IMO gore and realism wouldn’t make Halo so popular as it is today, but we can always imagine he Chief fighting alongside ‘nano-bot armor clad highly trained unkillable’ marines. But I would sure welcome the marines to be potrayed in realistic 26th century armor.
Good day.
