The epic custom game we all love has been revamped. With a new game type and 2 new maps, it just gets better. In this game, though game chat-proximity voice (if this is not working for you, check your audio settings, proximity voice, and game chat, and make sure it is not set to mute). It is a lot of fun, and helps with team work and skill.
World Powers is a game where you can split into 4 countries (nameless really, just red team, blue team, gold team, and green team) and attempt to ‘conquer’ each other. You need at least 12 people, 3 on each team, but 4 makes it best. Your job, as a country, is to conquer all other countries. Conquering is done by trapping the enemy team in their jail/prison and claiming them. This is done if you are the first person to get to their prison with all of them trapped inside. This means that NO ONE on their team is free. Your jail is placed near your base, and entirely traps you. You can only get out if someone goes in your base and blows up the fusion coil blocking the teleporter. It only lasts for a short time so you may have to do it several times. There may…perhaps…possibly be OTHER ways to get out of jail just in case. A suggestion is to keep one person in your base to let out anyone who gets trapped. If you are finally trapped, your allies can free you before you’re conquered, but if a team comes to conquer you, everyone switches to that team, even if they weren’t the ones that trapped you.
Allies are enemy teams you decide to become a team with. You speak to each other via proximity voice, and that means you must be nearby and in game chat. You DO NOT betray each other (its just the way it works, its wrong to become friends and instantly turn your backs on them) and can work together. If you want to become allies, the easiest way is to take a falcon, unarmed (meaning only a driver. If you have people on turrets, it implies battle) or you can take a land vehicle to them and come up slowly. You don’t have to make an alliance to mix things up, and sometimes it is more fun. An alliance lets each base share supplies, and increases the general supply of soldiers at your disposal.
Teams are decided at the beginning, before it starts. There are 2 methods to decide teams: kickball style, or having everyone get on brown team, pick leaders for red/blue/gold/green, and have them take turns picking team mates. Since teams have to be equal, if you don’t divide evenly into teams of 3 or 4, after 3 per team, all that’s left are mercenaries.
If you have 16 and want mercenaries, or individuals (teams wont work here) on pink, brown, purple, or orange teams. Mercenaries can make alliances with anyone, and are considered rogues. They CAN betray whomever they work for, but they don’t have a jail, and can easily just be trapped in any prison, as their spawns are random. If the team they work for wont let them out, they are stuck or must switch teams until they are in a jail cell for someone who will help them. They can only switch to other mercenary teams though.
Go on the file browser and search Forge World Wars V2 and Forge World Wars NV2 for the maps, and the game type is World Powers V2. The N if, of course, the night version, make sure you find the one created by ‘xl Prado lx.’ Or you can just go to xl Prado lx’s file share to get the most recent edition (their are always small edits made when we try out the new versions). If it isn’t created by ‘xl Prado lx’, it is probably a bad edit and should not be used.
