So given Halo Infinite’s semi open world nature what changes to said open world would you like to see after completing X tasks or during X events?.
I think the obvious changes would reduced Banished patrols in areas where you have taken over the local base(s) perhaps more Marine patrols in said area once again if you have taken over the local base(s).
Perhaps even an increase in wildlife onc the banished have been pushed out of an area.
there are plenty more small and large changes that we could see happen but what are your thoughts? Wants? For world changes.
It’d be cool if, once you’ve taken control of a zone, a UNSC frigate be in the sky that launches pelicans with a squad of Marines every now and then to fight some Banished forces in the area as random events.
Another idea I have, but is a long shot to actually be in the game, is to have our Spartan IV appear in some way. Maybe have Chief pass control over the area to them as we move to the next. I think it would be neat to have our Spartan have some kind of little role like that in the Campaign

I would have thought the world will become more UNSC covered as the Chief takes bases and drives the Banished back. You could also have an increase in Sentinels or Banished hunter squads looking for the Chief as he causes more damage on the ring.
This is inevitable. I was thinking, as Halo infinite begins to mature, overtime 343 is confirmed to be adding more Campaigns and more stories for Campaign, and I have a sneaking hunch that there will be some form of story elements being added to multiplayer (just look at how hard they’re pushing the phrase “What kind of Spartan will you be?”). Like all live-service games, the entirety of the game will evolve as old stories are concluded and new ones rise. It will be an ever-changing landscape.

Definitely this. It would be also cool if they could mix in some RTS elements like base defense building and putting resources towards more vehicles for taking new territories. Based on the difficulty of campaign you could increase firepower of banished bases and siege groups.

My main hope is that just because they will add new story stuff and events to the campaign doesn’t mean a Destiny like lock out from the content that came before.
id love it if even after 5 years and numerous updates/DLC’s you could still go back and play the very base game before hitting any of the new content.
I get that events wise that will be impossible as Live events are just that…Live, but when it comes to the actual stories content I don’t want to be locked out of the original content due to new content.
maybe having a ‘reset’ campaign option could work. But I’m not a developer so I have no idea what issues may arise from it.

This sounds good as to be honest unless we leave the Ring even the addition of new enemies would just change whose attacking your base or whose base you’re attacking.
I mean say after the main campaign a year or so down the line we get a flood related story arc release. We’d potentially see less banished and less banished bases due to them being overrun with flood meaning we’d be assaulting Flood controlled bases and assaulted by flood rather than banished. Hell even Prometheans would work.

It’s Halo. I don’t think they’d ever take away any form of storytelling elements. Not to mention Halo’s Campaign is completely separate from it’s multiplayer. Might be a different story is multiplayer has it’s own storytelling elements though, which i’m calling right now may be the case
I think that the fact that missions will be staged in a more open world with more freedom of choice will at least make it easier for 343i to reuse those environments for challenges and scenario’s.
For the campaign they already communicated that the world will respond to your choices to keep it challenging and of course we do have this elite assassin tracking us on Zeta. Wouldn’t it be awesome if based on his intel a form of the shadow of Mordor system is in place; I.e. if you make more noise and use heavy artillery, bases will be more fortified and better protected. Pressure the enemy too hard and they might consider setting free the flood in a compartment you have to travel through.

First I’m hearing of this Elite Assassin?..but that sounds pretty cool not going to lie lol.
my issue here is that world changes can be very minor things. So I clear out a Banished outpost and what the buildings are now wrecked? They disappear al,OST over night?. They get taken over by UNSC?.
I know 343 are feeding us info in the months leading up to launch but I’d really love some clarification on a few things. World changes being just one. I know the answer we will get however will more than likely be ‘we have to wait for launch’.

That would be awesome to have something akin to the nemesis system from shadows of Mordor. It’s such a shame that that particular tech was patented. That being said, maybe some of those Microsoft bucks could have gotten them permission to have something like that?

It was a while ago, but the headhunter was mentioned in a cannon fodder in august last year: Despite Distance | Canon Fodder | Halo - Official Site (halowaypoint.com)
Now that we are going to have a semi-open world and the story is going to be evolving over time, it would be really great to recover the Spartan Ops and be able to put our Spartan to use beyond multiplayer.
I am starting to think that we are going to have different locations on the Zeta Halo Ring in the upcoming Halo Infinite. At the same time, I also think that we are going to see a lot of side missions in the new Halo video game. I still think that there is going to be side mission where you can rescue UNSC Marines and ODST Troopers, while at the same time fighting the Banished or the Flood on the Zeta Halo Ring.
