Word Of Mouth Weapon Skin

Hi everyone,

I participated in a Microsoft Store tournament for Halo 5 a few weeks ago. I was told that I would get the Word of Mouth weapon skin for one of my weapons. I already have the one for the Battle Rifle, but the guy at the store told me that I would get it for one of the remaining weapons. I was under the impression that it was only for the Battle Rifle, but it would be cool to get it for other weapons. I haven’t seen any req packs in my inventory recently and was curious if anyone has any information on this.

No one on waypoint, the halo discord, the halo FB page, or even the gaming expert at my Microsoft store knows anything about the world of mouth BR skin or if it is still being given out.

The only thing I did figure out is that it can take up to 4 weeks for them to send out the gold req packs to participants. It’s possible it could take just as long to send out BR skins.

This is is the first I’ve heard of the word of mouth skin on anything other than a BR. The waypoint blog post and twitch announcement only mentioned a BR skin
when the skin was announced late 2017.

Thanks for the response and linking to those posts. I remember the Waypoint post but not the Twitch announcement. I’ve participated in about 4 or 5 Microsoft Store tournaments since then and never heard anything about other variants for different guns. That’s why I was confused when the guy at the store said that.

I wouldn’t be opposed to a variant for each gun.
