Firstly, let me reiterate for others….this is the weekly capstone (final challenge, you cannot swap it). “Stop 3 enemy killing sprees in fiesta”.
This is the most luck (lack of luck?) based challenge I have seen. It’s completely circumstantial and out of player control. This challenge needs to be modified or removed.
Even still, I wouldn’t be surprised if no action is taken regarding this challenge. The only thing I can advise is to start progressing on this challenge as soon as you can. This isn’t going to be one that you can finish off last minute Monday night. That, or, party up and just throw five kills at the enemy team and then kill them once they hit their sprees. I can’t believe there is incentive to perform poorly in game.
Such an irregular way to play this game. To add insult to injury my last challenge before the capstone is to stop 5 killing sprees in fiesta (somehow even more difficult than the final challenge). There goes a swap. Lmao.
I’ve completed every weekly challenge to date, however, this one has really taken the cake.
I got through all my challenges and once I saw what the ultimate challenge was I just turned the game off. It’s not a reused emblem at the very least this week, but the coating we get isn’t really worth it imo. I hate when they give us challenges that are basically out of our control unless you farm with other players.
I just don’t understand how the challenges were evaluated in the past and this one slipped through the cracks.
If I choose to play this game legitimately, I am most likely going to have to grind for hours and hours for those 3 killsjoys. If they even present an opportunity to be obtained.
I just ran to my death over and over until I spawned with rockets or a sword. Then I went and hid in a corner and watched the kill feed until it looked like someone had gotten five kills without dying. Then I went hunting.
It took me 6 matches to get it done and I lost every one of them. I’m sure my teammates didn’t appreciate it. But now it’s done.
I was pretty mad when I saw this challenge, but ended up getting it within 3 games. I may have gotten lucky, but I just played normally and it happened pretty quickly.
I want to give 343 the benefit of the doubt here…perhaps they saw in their data that a player gets at least 1 killjoy every 2-3 games in fiesta, so figured it would be a reasonable challenge.
The challenge sucks for sure, but IMO it’s not really even worth trying to make happen since so much is outside your control. I plan on getting it by just playing the game normally and having fun.
You assume it’s all the same people.
The way I see it, 343i is just a studio with revolving doors accepting and ejecting workers at a rapid pace. With workers like this, especially with their work being outsourced, there’s no heart, no passion, no willingness to do right by the fans.
Challenges for stopping killing sprees should just not be a thing at all. It’s frustrating to do legitimately and if you just want to get it without much hassle you have to throw the match essentially. It’s provided a huge incentive to sandbag and ruin the game for your teammates. Not fun or cool 343.
