Now,let’s get to the main point…
I was playing Halo 2 Anniversary,and then the Brutes reminded me of the Wookies,so I was curious about how strong a wookie is.
I know that Brutes can lift over 8 tons.So…Are the Wookies stronger,weaker or as strong as a Brute?
Strong enough to tear a droids arm’s out of their sockets when they lose at space checkers.

I feel like a Brute would win, but I like Wookiees better.
A Brute once ripped an armored Hunter to pieces in a book while Truth watched.
A Wookie is roughy a similar size to an Elite on average. A Brute is much taller and larger than both. Also, while a Wookie surely could Ripa man’s/droid’s arms off, in Stompng on the Heels of a Fuss a Brute managed to smack a human’s head clean off her shoulders. Also, in Last Light and the Halo Wars 2 trailer there are cases of Brutes being able to left a Spartan in MJORNIR armour, seemingly with ease. That’s half a (metric) ton with one hand.
Look, everyone likes the Wookies, but neither an Elite (without armour, because Elite armour augments their strength to an unknown degree) nor a Wookie could conceivably win a fight with an average Brute.

Jiralhanae are much stronger and resilient than wookies. Especially if they berserk, then they’d be able to survive multiple small arms fire shots.
Idk if anyone has mentioned it, but Chewy is a pretty small runt compared to the rest of the species. The average Wookiee seems MUCH larger than the average Brute to me personally but I guess I’m forgetting you play a character much larger than a normal human in Halo. Looking online Halo wikis and Wookieepedia have the average Wookiee and Brute being of similar sizes. I couldn’t figure out average gravity but that is massively important. Like if one comes from a much higher gravity planet than that species is massively stronger.
Anatomy wise a brute would likely be “stronger” in some ways BUT that doesn’t mean its hands down Brutes win. Brutes have what seems like a more traditional ape body plan and shoulders (the shoulders being the most important part here), as such they can very easily knuckle-walk & thus much like other non-human great apes stronger by weight. Wookiees are much more humanoid with our style shoulders, meaning a slight reduction in strength but much better dexterity/the ability to throw faster & more accurately. Knuckle-walking apes, like Brutes, tend to have stronger muscle movements however they have horrible reaction times/delicate control. So even in a straight up fight a Wookiee might have the advantage as the Brute throws around its arms wildly attacking the Wookiee can properly punch the Brute in the sweet spot.
So in terms of raw strength/power a Brute would likely be stronger even than a slightly larger Wookiee, however their finger control would be utter crap and realistically if they threw a plasma grenade it would as likely hit you as miss by 30 ft. As well the waists match humans/wookiee vs other great apes/brutes; meaning if the 2 got in a footrace the Wookiee could run until the Brute started to have major health issues from exhaustion. Thus if the 2 species went to war with technology Wookiees all day. They are smarter, can run/march for longer, they’d be better at using/repairing/piloting technology, and a Bowcaster is cooler than a Bruteshot.

kill joy much. Anyways sheer strength. I think Brutes take the cake. Wookies are smarter and more focused and collected. Seems like a tough match but Headhunters was right. Brutes are unpredictable. Those guys go berserk and I think its all over for a wookie.
