Won't download

I have been having problems with installing halo 5 it gets to a certain percentage then stops. Nothing is wrong with the disc and the error code is 0x87e00064 is there a way for them to send me another copy because mine is faulty? Ive tried every solution including a factory reset but nothing has worked.

Hey OP, did you try any of the troubleshooting steps listed here?: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/troubleshooting/game-installation-process-stops
If not I would maybe give them a try. Also does this happen with any other game disc or movie disc? If you have others you can try I would see if installing other games also fails, could then be an issue with the drive and not the disc. Regarding replacement discs, you would have to reach out to the store where you bought the disc and see what they could do for you

Thanks for the reply. However I did try the troubleshooting steps which didn’t work and every other game I have on disc does download for some reason halo 5 does not. Even though I’ve had it for a year now I haven’t played it in a couple months since I deleted it but it downloaded perfectly when I got it. I’ll buy a new disc but if that don’t work I have no solutions

I had the exact same issue with Destiny a few months back. Hadn’t used the disc in a few months and even though it looked perfect, when went to play it it just wouldn’t load at all. Had to get a used copy in the end. Don’t know what the reason for it is, I’ve heard it happen to brand new games as well. Maybe just some kind of inherent fault with the disc from the manufacturing process or something

So will getting a new copy of the game be a good idea?

Probably the only option left at this point I think, other than seeing if a local game shop will clean your disc for you
