I don’t know about you guys but… Halo 5 just lacks SOOO much content… there’s no incentive for me to grind hours on it (unless all I want to do is get req points then open packs, but that’s it) at all. I’ve recently purchased Black Ops 3, and found myself addicted to it. And that’s mainly because they provide a lot of content and give you reasons to grind hours into the game.
What I feel like Halo 5 has shipped with:
Campaign
Warzone/Multiplayer (which has maybe 8-10 game modes between the both of them)
Black Ops 3:
Campaign
Freerun ( a new mode which utilizes the new movement system)
Multiplayer (which has like 16+ modes)
Zombies
Now, I’m not trying to advertise Black Ops 3, I’m just trying to give a comparison of how one game has more content than the other. And truthfully, I think 343 NEEDS to step up their game.

Its not ruining it or it would have 15-20 years ago. The ability to patch games isnt helping because a company can potentially “fix” problems as soon as the game launches rather than making them complete before shipping.
I like BO3 (except for that campaign…ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…worst one in the series for me) but there’s something about the gameplay that doesn’t hold me like Halo does. It’s a fun romp but I always find myself having way more fun with Halo.
Yeah, I play Halo MCC, Destiny and Black Ops. This is the first Halo Multiplayer game I don’t like. Next time, I’ll wait until the ratings come out first before I buy it.

Yes, it is ruining it. People preorder and that tells the companies that they’re satisfied with what they’ve seen of the game so far, so they put less effort into it because they know for certain how much money they’re going to get based on preorder numbers.
More evidence of increasingly short attention spans and the inexplicable desire for quantity over quality. H5 could use forge (coming soon), some more game-types, and social playlists, but it has more maps than any other at launch and Warzone (the Firefight/SpOps equivalent) isn’t just chunks of campaign and multiplayer levels cut up and re-used. Do people expect it to have all of the content that other titles had at their peak right from the start? I don’t recall getting bored with Combat Evolved simply because it wasn’t bloated with enough distractions to keep the attention deficit occupied in 5 second increments.

So, way back in the 90s, when i preordered Ocarina of Time Nintendo said “welp, they are going to buy it. Stop production. We’re good.”. As it turns out stuff like that didnt happen until patches. “guys, this bug is huge.” “we ship in 3 weeks Jim, we can deal with it with a patch.”
Says the brought cod on a Halo page and that they wont be pre order Halo 6, pretty sure we’re dealing with a troll, also I’d rather a high quality game with a small amount of content than a rubbish game. To top it off you have to pay for Zombies in blops 3 which pretty much drags it right down compared to Halo 5 which might be a little lacking in content right now but will be getting hundreds of new things for free.

They didn’t have DLC back then.
Maybe you should read this.(That being said, OOC was a solid game. I preferred MM but still, LOZ on 64 was superb.)
You got zero rewards in the previous games besides a rank. So why cry about it now? Oh because entitled kids feel the need to whine since it’s you know. 343.
Pre orders will probably open up on January. Some people really trust 343i enough to buy Halo 6 before they even see what Halo 6 is like. Time for trust ended after MCC.
Pretty sure CE only shipped with Campaign and if you were lucky enough to have friends who also owned Xboxs and a copy of the game then maybe 4 player mp, or if you were really lucky lan parties (played a few). But since not everyone did lets just saw you got campaign with Halo:CE and that was it. Same goes for Halo 2 until it got XboxLive support, and yet nobody complained back than. What did Reach have? Campaign, MP, Forge, Firefight, what does Halo 5 have Campaign, Arena MP, Warzone, and soon Forge. Don’t ignore content that’s there and try to act like there is less when in fact its there its just not what you want so you don’t count it. People did the same with Halo 4 in spite of the fact that Spartan Ops counted as 50 missions yet people brushed it off as not counting as more content than Reach.

Exactly, I’ve even seen some reviewers claim that there are no new weapons in 5 in spite of it having more weapons than most the past titles put together. People just ignore content if its not the content they want.

I never preorder games , I only purchased them where are you good people have tried them out for me for a week or two after decades of playing games I would prefer not to get burnt on my purchases.
I don’t like to say it but I too wont be getting Halo 6 day one which honestly is a shame to say. It’s easy just to say bad things of Halo 5 but I’d have forgiven a lot if Forge was available offline and Campaign at least sported a more Chief playable campaign. My preference makes for my opinion then but it does sadden me that for the first time I wont be paying full wack on a Halo game. Personally I think the campaign alone makes the admission for a Halo game but this one just leaves a bad taste despite still being very well crafted regards to the combat.
It looks unlikely Forge will be available for offline play so that really is the nail in the coffin
Plenty of people will of course buy Halo6 on the day and that’s great for some but 343’s decisions I think will have lost them more fans this time
