wont be fooled again Halo 4

Back in the good ole days of the original xbox and halo 2 people used to quit and sometimes we’d end up playing glitches with what was left of the opposing team, those were the days when everyone talked via headsets plugged in to the controller, the banter and camaraderie was great, a game that went south could still be fun! When halo 3 on the new 360 entered the world I saw it all getting better but I guess it was the start of the end as your party could hold its own in a room sepperate to the opposing team, good for tactics maybe but a killer to the game that once held the promise of so much fun. My 360 experiance was corrupted by the circle of death and after taking my 3rd 360 back to GAME I opted for the full refund not the trade in price and bought a ps3 & call of duty 4.

Here’s the punch. the online part of getting into games was rubbish by comparrisson to my previous experiance on the 360, I’d get dumped into losing games full of people playing music on their bluetooth headsets and the game would soon be over but I could stay in the party where nobody talked and the next game I had a chance to turn the game around with my superior skill and tactics:))
I made a welcome return to the world of the 360 and my best friend master cheif just as Halo Reach on the new K shaped 360 in 2010 all was good as the eye of death was bannished forever and I could rid myself of the online gaming nightmare that I’d found on the ps3. Reach was good fun even without the banter of the old days of halo 2, I had a hand in choosing the map and deciding the outcome of the match.

I feel with Halo 4 I’ve come full circle and even though paying a premium to play online games I’m recieving a less than favorable service. I’m registered for the -Yoink!- challenge and just like call of duty 4 on the ps3 am finding myself dumped into losing games where no amount of skill will turn the match around and all my efforts will only manage to register a loss on my stats, furthermore the next match will continue as the previous one with quitters quitting and new players being added to make up the numbers only to quit again and again. I played for an hour yesterday and spent half of that time looking at the postgame lobby as team mtes on both teams continued to quit and the whole experiance leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth especially after paying 2000 microsoft points for the the maps ahead of their release for a game that is dead, tired, and soon to be buried into the budget end of 2nd hand stores.

I’m stuck at specialisation SR70 with no end in sight as I watch others on SR120+ gaining advantage over me and all I can do to console myself is remember how it used to be when it all started:((

This is a real disappointment microsoft, its not one that can be resolved on xbox live support, I know, I’ve tried

Well I blame the whole k/d thing. Because of stats, people have become obsessed with them trying to camp/get a good k/d ratio. This results in the whole rage-quitting fiasco. Others just can’t handle losing so they will continue to leave until they are in a winning game.
Games have gone from ‘playing for fun’ to ‘playing for the higher number’.

Well good news for you. Read the latest bulletin and will see that hopefully most of this will be fixed. Also this tourni is joke. But hey shelf it for another month or two and come back and see if you like it more.

This exactly. The whole rise of the “MLG” thing ruined online shooters.

Its no longer about having fun. Its about the crap listed above. Shame. Ruined a lot of fun this way.

If we had a playlist for social “fun” play and a playlist for serious play, that would fix this.

^^^Its not hard to figure that out 343.

Honestly L0ND0N G00NER, to me when these kind of things happen its time for a break from that game. If you keep playing frustrated you’ll never want to play it again. I can recommend two games for you that are currently my favourites as well: Borderlands 2 (when you’re sick to death of competitive this is a great co-op game, in fact borderlands 1 isn’t that bad either, especially the DLC), and Far cry 3 (by far the best shooter out this year. Far cry 3 has the most immersive, interesting, and original campaign I have ever played, and it is also excessively brutal which takes away that anger itch. It also has a map editor that leaves forge for dead, and a seperate co-op campaign. its multiplayer is a bit like cod in the way of gameplay but without the obnoxious players, quickscoping and all that other insufferable stuff that makes cod multiplayer not worth playing). I know you shouldn’t have to leave halo 4 for a new game just because of the community but sometimes its the best choice and who knows you might find yourself a new favourite IP.

Lol op your right about the lack of mics.

Still remeber in halo 2 , 3 of the other team quit about halfway into the map. We then search the map high and low for the last player. I then Heard this singing over the mic “All by myyselllfff” looked over and the last player on the red team was walking around the map weapon lowered and singing his heart out.

BEST CONSOLE GAMING ERA
