It seems lately that a large chunk of decent or better than decent players use it, and, for the most part, fair better with it than most other weapons that aren’t power weapons, kind of reminds me of Halo 2/3 days where most used BR’s and dominated with said weapon. Kinda weird…
I think the H4 BR has way to much magnetism. IMO I think it should go back to projectile, and H3 levels of magnetism.
I did like the halo 3 BR…
> I think the H4 BR has way to much magnetism. IMO I think it should go back to projectile, and H3 levels of magnetism.
It may be that, or it may need a slightly slower rate of fire, slightly. It’s used way too commonly now, first the DMR, now the BR, lol.
All the weapons in H4 have far too much bullet magnetism and aim assist
The BR is a mid-close range weapon 4v4 maps are mostly mid-close range
Why are you surprised to see it being used in most 4v4 situations?
The weapon tuning put all weapons back into their niches
The DMR was used predominantly pre-tuning because it was OP
The BR gets used now because its a niche weapon that finally excels within its niche
False accusation, when I do use the BR, against my will for using a more forgiving weapon, etc, I go on streaks far easier than any other loadout weapon, as do most after TU. This is a fact.

I made no accusation, however, again I fail to understand how you don’t see why using a 4v4 weapon in a 4v4 setting wouldn’t yield favourable results
Which is what I said
The BR like all weapons now are niche weapons as when wielded by a decent-good player within their niche will have very favourable results
Now conversely if you were going into BtB and cross mapping people with the BR I could see your point
People being successful with a niche weapon within its niche doesn’t make said weapon OP
One of my favorite things about the BR in Halo 2 and Halo 3 was that they were capable of taking out players who had power weapons. If I played right, going up against someone with a Rocket Launcher wasn’t certain death. In previous Halo games, power weapons were powerful, but balanced by both difficulty of use and the need to be in the weapon’s effective range.
In Halo 4, I feel so helpless against power weapons. I feel like I sometimes just have to throw myself against the enemy until their power weapons are out of ammo.

Dang near every weapon in this game has ridiculous magnetism, might as well just do the shooting for you, even worse when the game has no ded servers, worse netcode than Reacharound, strafe acceleration and hitscan on every weapon.

I strongly agree with this.
EDIT: Btw I love using that site.
I think people use the BR because they are familiar with it and the whole weapon tuning’s slogan was “4SK BR”. They advertised this, the Carbine and the LightRifle buff was treated like a side-note.
I’ve disliked the BR since H2, Loved the Carbine then fell in love with the Light Rifle.
I’ll never touch a BR unless it’s a force loadout. Even if I’m out of ammo I won’t pick it up.

I’ve made alot of kills with the BR, but i still prefer the LR (before titel update.)
Does any one else think the LR, hip shot is underpowerd. The only weapon it can beat close up is the DMR.
Shooting from the hip is a disaster , esspecialy against BR and Carbine.
Ken… Did the LR get a buff in burst mode? Because isn’t it still at 5SK as I thought it was only the single sight shot that got a buff.
Use all weapons as they all fit different purposes. I’ve been using the Carbine a lately as with my newest controller I find it a lot easier to do button combos and trigger mashing (Good for fighting games and some shooters) so I can keep my aim on track for longer while spamming. I’ve beaten a ton of BR users with the Carbine at close range.
But yes, with the magnetism they’ve got a slight ROF nerf would be nice as it dominates quite often compared to the other weapons for map control on a lot of maps as even large maps are generally blocked off at certain points keeping you in a small/medium range.

You must be a clone of me

The LightRifle got a nerf for its RoF when unscoped, but got a buff for its RoF when scoped in.
Needs another RoF nerf
Idk, I still feel like it’s the most widely used weapon by a good amount, and kills rack up easier than other weapons, all of which I disagree with, seeing as how we have tons of weapons compared to previous titles.

That’s the way it needs to be.
