I’ve had that happen, and it said “Takedown” before the Match Over screen popped up. Very frustrating. Mine was the hunters on the beach on Apex
That absolutely has to be addressed in a patch. If it does, probably won’t be retroactively made up to everything though =/

I’ve ran into it twice. just didn’t record the first time.
I had Palmer say we defeated him hopefully for the last time, gave us the mythic kill but just as the screen was fading to black I heard mission fai…
Looks like time ran out, but they still reward you with the kill. Definitely a loss because time ran out.

I feel your pain. I have had this happen 3 times in one day. the frustrations!

You were just a second behind. I have encountered almost the same thing…killed a boss after timer ran out, but we still advanced to the next round.
Take this analogy: If you have to drink a litre of water in 60 seconds, but finish in 61 seconds, you did drink the water, but you failed the challenge.
To be fair, WE died after the counter read 0.00
