Howdy,
So this morning I was playing the final battle in Halo 5 Legendary, locked in a chamber with wave after wave of foes.
I replayed the prior battle in order to try bringing in the Warthog. So I had a Warthog.
The Warthog got stuck on a ramp railing while I was operating its turret, so I climbed out.
And fell through the floor.
Underneath the arena there was a lot of walk able space. I hung around watching my colleagues re-spawn, watching them leave footprints on my ceiling, trying to direct them. Maybe, I thought, I could win by hanging out down here, immortal and untouchable, while wave after wave of respawns destroyed wave after wave of bad guys?
But of course that was terribly boring, especially because the solider captain with the grenade launcher made pretty short work of Buck and the gang. Meanwhile I kept exploring, and I kept falling down small incremental steps that I could then not get back up. So I was going lower and lower down.
And then I appeared in the ceiling of the next level and spawned the endgame.
I was able to save a checkpoint at that time, and so I got some videos. In them, you can hear the prompts for the prior level’s battle - “Deactivate the controls on either side of the room” even as the endgame is playing out in my face.
