Just got Diamond 5. Won my next game. Now I’m diamond 4. With less progress than my game before Diamond 5.

What was the overall score? Where did you place amongst the 8 players based on individual score?
I have two theories about why people.are losing rank off wins. It happened to me once too.
It’s the only thing they do consistently

Placed 2nd on the winning team, 2nd overall. What more can I do?

My theory is either you phantom dropped out a game without realising, so a game starts 3v4 you were the 4th and punished for quitting but it was delayed so shows after your next game looking like a net loss (this feels unlikely). Sometimes the menu loads weird and feel like that could be related… Maybe.
The other is that the game expects you to win in a landslide so if you only just win against a team you should have easily beaten you actually lose score. I find it ludicrous that would be the case, you should.never lose rank for winning or gain Rank for losing. I think the game I lost rank when we won was an Oddball match we won 2-1. I’ve seen others losing rank after an Oddball game too.
