Won a 1 vs. 4 match

Yeah, I know, “Video or it didn’t happen.” I tried to make a video, but I guess the xbox only records the past 20 seconds when you hit the make video button. You should be able to go to my most recent game and see that my team mates quit almost right away though. Idc if my opponents were complete scrubs or whatever, I was pretty impressed with myself. On a related note, how does one record more than 20 seconds on the Xbox One?

to record up to 5 min on game DVR you need to snap it to your screen and select “start recording” then you can either let it run the entire 5 min or stop it manually.

the only downside is i dont think it is retroactive like the “xbox record that” function

Dang, I’m used to the PS4 where it just automatically records the past 15 minutes of gameplay. but now that I think about it, Halo 5 has a theatre mode…

That’s really really stupid that you have to actually have the feature snapped on for it to record those 5 minutes. Especially because it warps the main screen to accommodate for the snap-that box being on-screen. I hate playing my games with something snapped on-screen. It’s irritating af.

Yea i really think they should have left the recording feature in theater.

Only ever won one 1 v 4 match. Was in Halo Reach and im pretty sure i was playing people who didn’t know how to hold a controller properly.

Haha yeah. I don’t think the guys I was playing had thumbs.

It’s official. The gameplay recording feature on PS4 is infinitely better

On Halo 3 I won 1 vs 5 on team social, the other team had 3 guests that’s shot spontanoesouly and the other two players kept betraying each other, pretty funny tbh:’)

You can also go into theater and save the video to your file share for all to see.

A theater mode that is buggy, and reduced to splinter of its former glory. No screenshots, no recording, no cutting/splicing. It is a pathetic incarnation.

Exactly. Theatre mode on XB1 is a terrible buggy mess.

I’m sure the Xbox One just isn’t able to handle that kind of stuff, unlike the 360 which is about ten years old

I’ve won 2 1v4’s but they were in Halo 2: Anniversary. I struggled and sweated and it felt so good when i won.

3 of the 4, that was their first game in Arena. The 3rd was also very inexperienced. All 4 had not placed yet.

The Xbox DVR will record the last 30 seconds by saying “Record that” or “tapping X” after quickly tapping the XB1 button. The system is always recording the last 5 minutes so it’s retroactive.

The PS4 has a quick-share button but it’s not infinitely better. Not by far.

The PS4 automatically records the last 15 minutes, and it’s easy to set up a session to record as long as you want, provided your hard drive has space. Maybe you can do that with the Xbox One as well, but I’m more familiar with the PS4 system

Well you can go into theater for that game and record it on that I believe.

I tried that, it doesn’t look like there’s an option to record in theatre mode
