OK so how is that possible if I win that many games while contributing and scoring?? I’ll probably not touch it this season again because the deal was to get ranked based off wins. I played worse last season in my entry games and got a higher rank this why it doessn’t make sense. 7-3 is not perfect but its still pretty good compared to last season, I think I went 4-6. but yea I’m sticking to slayer and free for all cause ranks aren’t consistent…
The way placing works was modified for the March 2016 season, making it a little more difficult to rank high initially.
> One of the goals of our Competitive Skill Rank (CSR) system is that it reflects the skill range of the active population. At Halo 5 launch, we tuned the designation system based on an ideal skill distribution. Since launch, you all have been putting in the hours and getting better. Starting with the March season, part of our process for season rollovers was to update the CSR curves in each playlist to reflect the actual skill of the population playing in them. With the new skill curves, you may see a difference after your placement matches in some of the playlists this season. Separately, it is worth noting that we’re actively investigating CSR feedback we’ve gotten from players at top skill levels to determine improvements that can be made to the system.

Wins and kills/deaths isn’t all that matters while placing, though. You need to take into account your opponents rank, their MMR, your team mates performance and the enemy teams performance too.
If you think you’re good enough to get higher than Silver 4, then keep playing, keep winning and you’ll be out of there in no time.
Yea but I was in a party with my boy and he got platinum 2 and we basically did the same his KD was better but I scored in the games and focused more on the objectives.
