Wolverines are way weaker than reavers

Against air reavers are better damage wise, can jump, and have shields, wolverines just seem bad compared to this.

While I agree that Reavers > Wolves in the pure matchup of dealing with air, that doesn’t make the match up out of balance. Wolves can still attack ground units and then UNSC infantry is vastly superior in dealing with air versus Banished counter parts. UNSC also have, generally speaking better air units in comparison to the Banished counter parts.

Overall, unsc have better core units, where banished have better counter units.

Care to elaborate? Are you saying that the Wolves are better than Reavers in terms of dealing with air? If so, what makes them better? Or is this just a general statement that UNSC have better units?

Banished have better anti air than the UNSC, where the UNSC have better air units than the banished.

The reaver is superior to the wolverine since the hornet outclasses the banshee.
