Without split screen, why use Forge?

Like everyone else around here, I’ve been super stoked for Forge to return when it hit me. Who am I supposed to play my forge maps with? The main reason I used Forge was to build maps for me and my buddies to play on via split screen. Without split screen I don’t really have a reason to use Forge this time around. Does anyone else share this sentiment or is there another way to play your forge maps with people? Thanks!

You can play your Forge maps over Xbox Live, but I agree in that I wish we still had splitscreen.

I think the way they explained it is that it is going to be even harder to host or play custom games without friends on LIVE because there won’t be any in-game file shares like Halo 3 and yes the split-screen was a big part we are all going to love. I hope they do eventually try to fix it up. But I did read that the technology does not exist for Xbox One to run a game like Halo 5 and support split-screens

Because maps are fun to build and they aren’t limited to local play?

Because you’re just trying to start up the split screen rant by using Forge to make it relevant again?

The real question is, why aren’t we heard?
For how big the halo franchise is (at least until halo 3) … you’d think that they’d listen to what the community wants…
Seem’s like the makers are just shooting themselves in the foot with crap like this.

Why do you think games like league of legends are so damn successful?
Because they update and mold the game PURELY based on what the players want.
Riot is prudent with giving people the best experience as they possibly can by LISTENING to what people want.

343, wake up please. I understand the pushing of your own personal agenda, but Halo touches so many people world wide. It’s more than just a game.
Communication and value, begins with hearing and understanding.
See things from a different perspective.

What are you even talking about?

more fuel to the fire, Forge needs gold, thats right, forge need yoinking gold to work along with the rest of the game! and maps shouldn’t be restricted to public play. the game is going to have no replay value or nostalgia at all.

The lack of a split screen is a BIG mistake by 343. It’s a huge detractor from the draw of the game for all of the gamers I know.

It’s ok to complain, it is an old argument but I don’t think that this is to spark a rant, it is just his statement of opinion. A sentiment which I happen to agree with. The new addition of forge just makes it more noticeable again.
