Without respect for Brazilian players

I think of how a renowned company like 343 does not care about its Brazilian players. We love Halo and we would like the game to be more popular in our country, but the lack of Brazilian servers or Latino servers discourages many new players from entering the halo world. Review that issue and provide the choice of servers according to each player’s latency, as Titanfall 2 provides. We want to improve the competitive landscape in Brazil, but we need 343 support. Ps .: Sorry for grammatical failures.

It’s more of Microsoft’s decision to decide what server locations will be available for certain games, not so much 343.

If anything I would express your concerns towards Microsoft.

I have to agree with Lasky here…The game studio has almost nothing to do with the server space for multiplayer - its just looked at as a business for Microsoft, where is the best place to invest and when.

Its much easier for PC gamers because of the Global reach of a PC vs an Xbox console…(ie: CS:Go…LoL…WoW…)

Japan and China experience the same thing you do even though Microsoft is trying to get involved more with the markets over there, and its even why Russia almost made that “Halo online” game that eventually tanked because it wasn’t popular enough…like I said its a game to us, its a business to the company.

Very complex subject, but left the record of frustration for not being able to play on equal terms with high level players.

I have to partially disagree with both of you guys: it’s true that it’s on Microsoft to decide where to put a datacenter, but it’s on 343 enable the game to use it.
I can assure you (i’m from Italy) that here in Europe Halo 5 is currently using only the older datacenters (Dublin and Amsterdam) completely ignoring the new ones (2 in Germany, 2 in England and 1 in near Russia). Ask this to any european Netduma user if you want a tangible proof.

Games like Gears and TitanFall have servers for Brazilians and the ping is infinitely better. This is one of the game’s reasons not popularize in South America.

GOW e TF are using Azure’s servers exactly as H5. This is only another proof of my previous statement: these games are using all new datacenters unlike H5.

The thing that makes me furious is that TF2 even during the beta period (lasted 2 separated weekends) updated itself to add the new German datacenters released on Friday before the 2nd beta weekend. Why H5, a full released game, cannot be upgraded to use the full power of Azure’s infrastructure?

Would that improve the connection in South America?
Where do you get this detailed information about servers?
We in Brazil suffer from poor connection quality and we are discouraged from playing HALO

You can find the approximate position of each data center in the world simply searching Azure location on the internet.
For the “H5 not using each one if them” part I asked to some players having a Netduma router able to track with precision packets destination.

well that’s just what i’m saying, Its not that I disagree with the comment of “forgetting Brazilian players” I just don’t think ALL the blame needs to be on 343i…no need to call them out.

The question is simple, if the company sells the game worldwide must support everyone. I believe that a complaint or even a request from 343 could ease this situation. Again, remember that Gears 4 and Titanfall 2 offer a choice for users.

In regards to that, I honestly doubt your the first one to bring it up. I’m sure they are aware of situations, obviously as a business - you want your clientele to reach the ends of the earth, but AS a business you have to ask “At what cost?” I’m sure there are factors we are unaware of and there could even be something on Brazil’s end that could be holding up.

I know this is a distant dream, but it’s easy to complain. There are several factors in the Brazilian internet that also affect the connection to the server, but we are always trying to improve our game. All in the name of Halo

Well you could always move to the Great US of A!
