Anyone else noticed that throughout Halo’s competitive years when Bungie was still around every other game developer was fumbling to stay on top with Halo? Infinityward tried to make their Call of Duties as top quality as the current stage Halo and so was Dice with Battlefield. And ever since 343 took over, everyone else decided to lay back since there wouldn’t be any competition over who can make the best game. The survival of Halo as a franchise is too important and I can’t imagine what will happen to the gaming industry if Halo finally topples over after all it has done.
What exactly would change if, say, Halo games were to stop being made? Halo is no longer influential and doesn’t do anything other games don’t do. No more Halo really wouldn’t change anything. If anything, it would open up a door for someone else to make a Halo type game that actually differed from the competition.

Its sad but true.
The biggest mistake any game developer can make is straying too far from the original concepts.
It is most likely that halo 6 will be the last MC game made by 343, after that will probably create something different like bungie did with ODST and Reach…
Wether it works or not we will see, but I think 343 can turn many things around.
Some of you older guys may remember a game called Red Faction?
in 2001 Halo CE and Red faction hit the shelves…Red Faction was so badass it was on par with Halo CE…
Then Red Faction 2 was made, and it had almost nothing similar to the original, as you can imagine the franchise died.
Halo 2 and 3 stayed true to Halo, and as a result took the game world by storm…but this does not mean mistakes cannot be made by 343 which could damage the franchise permanently :’(
I find a lot of truth in that post, and that is unfortunate for the players who have had a dedication for the best of the best in the past that has been Halo with it’s campaign and multiplayer. I do hope that 343 will continue to improve with future franchise releases, but only after they have thought through how they will present and implement such well needed changes. I would suggest going back to some of the things that made it so great and well loved by so many with the additions of the new maps and a better story line.
I personally can’t get into the new Halo 5 and it is the biggest disappointment for me, for something I have waited so ling for. I hope that 343 can get back to making a great high quality experience with any further halo releases, and perhaps fix what it missing in H5 and learn from their mistakes that have come in so many a voices. If not in a matter of time Halo will not be around with out it’s base.

The gaming industry will go on. Halo is not the big deal that it once was. Gamers and developers will get over it if this were to be the last Halo game ever made. Game, good games. And dare I say, Great games, will still be made in various gaming genres.
