The whole spartan story bs is just a excuse so they don’t have to give us playable elites
I really want to see Joseph Staten and Pierre Hintze come up with a plan for the Halo video games going forward especially when it comes to the Halo Infinite storylines. They can do either a Halo Infinite story expansions or a Halo Infinite DLC campaign levels. These chapters can set a few months or two years after the first Halo Infinite chapter. At the same time, they can also leave the door open for the Swords of Sanghelios and the Spirit of Fire to come back in the Halo Infinite story expansions.
Yes! This! This is exactly what Halo needs!
MCC integration with Infinite. The rest will take care of itself. By integration I mean at the very least being able to search 4v4 for Infinite through the MCC application. How much money would this cost me?
The greatest blunder of Infinite’s launch was MCC on PC rekindling the original fan base then completely flopping the release.
I want to see grif ball come back all article say that it is available, but I do not see it anywhere in came. What happened to it
If it’s being hosted by Grif himself…then he’s probably sleeping on the job.
Better transparency and an in depth monthly update on the state of the game. Doesn’t need to include upcoming events and road map, just let us know what they’re doing under the hood.
Like they did with MCC
Able to play in my correct region please i am tired of having to cross the sea please get this done first .
Thank you
Start the next halo with chief waking up from a coma only to have the past three installments of halo forgotten and he also forgets the ability to sprint. That would be the best selling halo since 3.
Evolvedhalo said the same thing and it didn’t sound any wiser than it does now.
That’s 10 years of storylining, regardless of how you feel about it.
You can’t just poof that away.
If you want to sell a decent game you can. Obviously it’s not working or we wouldn’t even be having this convo. ![]()
That would make zero sense to do. The story isn’t really the issue. Yeah, there may be some inconsistencies but the criticism surrounding the game revolves around its poor live service.
When the campaign came out, people loved it. It’s probably the best campaign we’ve gotten out of 343 storywise. You’re making the same mistake 343 is making. Stick with something and evolve it. Enough with the reboots.
A form of PVE content for our Spartans because I think it’s stupid that they did a good intro to multiplayer with the Tutorial (the cutscenes and how it ties itself to the campaign is great) then it’s like well what are the other Spartans doing? Training. Like the point of training is so that they can fight back against the Banished, but really you get the feeling from campaign that Master Chief is the only person doing anything.
On that note bring other characters into the story. I don’t think there’s any returning characters in Infinite other than Atriox and he’s not really on it.
Expand the campaign. The campaign should be part of the live service. Add new weapons to it, new targets, new collectibles. Other than the purple missions (Ransom Keep etc) I sadly find this to have the least replayability of any Halo campaign which is sad because the gameplay is there.
Final note: for the love of Halo fix the bloody Scorpion
. It handles like trash and marines can’t even sit on the treads, not that we get any decent vehicle sections.
Yeah, definitely no rebooting again. As someone who loves Halo 4’s campaign, one of the big things that I disliked about Halo 5’s was it completely -Yoink!- on the fairly well done end of Cortana in 4. I wanted to see how John deals with moving on from that loss of the constant companion since the start of the series. But instead, oh hey, uh, she still exists, somehow. Then shifting focus to her as the main threat and just unsatisfyingly ending the threat of Jul after building him up pretty decently in Spartan Ops. Halo Wars 2 and Infinite giving us the Banished is all the reboot the series needs at this time. We’ve got a decently set up enemy that feels similar enough to the Covenant to feel like a return to the classic enemy instead of constant Forerunner robots, but with enough of a flavor twist to not feel like they’re just straight up Covenant 2.0. Let’s stick with this for now.
i think the campaign is a pretty big issue, that kinda the thing i hear the most about 5 is the story sucks but gameplay is good. im gonna be honest i think infinite is worse and everyone that says it’s good is just blind by nostalgia.
I did enjoy Infinite. I did not enjoy anything from 5 except for Warzone Firefight.
I think Infinite is fun, and it feels like a blend of Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. I think it could be the best Halo yet. It just needs more material added. Like more campaign material, firefight, spartan ops, zombies, forge, co-op campaign, flood challenge mode.
It feels like seeing a beauitful painting that’s only 35% finished. It looks like it’s going to be fantastic, but we’re still waiting for the finished product.
I think it would be cool if the new heads of 343i added new playable story narratives. To be honest I don’t think the Premium Battle Pass is all that premium. This is born purely out of a wish for more game modes besides Campaign, Firefight, Forge, and Multiplayer. I mean I really miss Halo 5’s Warzone mode. That mode was awesome. You could fight your friends and Covenant AI opponents all at the same time.
So it would be cool if they added a third tier of the Battle Pass beyond Premium Battle Pass Bundle, that allowed you to play a new story-driven narrative linked to each Multiplayer season. For Heroes of Reach you’d be part of a Spartan fireteam sent to Reach to investigate and retrieve old Spartan program gear from the ruins and battle Covenant holdouts across the campaign. For Season 2: Lone Wolves I think you should play the mission they talked about in the introduction cinematic, and infiltrate the Banished Shipyards and retrieve the Banished AI.
I also think it would be kind of cool if they tied a Narrative into Firefight, whether on MCC, or on Infinite whenever they decide to release it. That way thr Firefight levels could tie into each other, giving the mode an extra layer of interest besides fighting waves of AI controlled enemies. I mean when I play MCC: Halo Reach firefight, I like to imagine my Spartan-III is on a routine patrol before they enter each map, and then they stumble across a Covenant expeditionary force and have to fight for their lives until evac arrives. It would be cool if the mode offered a narrative option that played into that head cannon. And if they tied the firefight maps together to make a loose narrative mode similar to Spartan Ops, that would be even cooler. Because let’s face it, they just used Halo 4 multiplayer and campaign maps and turned them into a Narrative driven Firefight mode you bought separately when they made Spartan Ops, and yet me, and thousands of other people still bought the game and played it because it had Halo on it, and it had a narrative built in.
The fact is, I normally avoid multiplayer because I don’t like teaming up with people I don’t know. For MMO games like WoW and ESO that’s unavoidable and I do team up with people for Raids and Dungeon runs, but on games like Halo, I’ve never played online multiplayer because I don’t like playing competitively. I just never have. That aside, if they made these new narrative modes as separate games like Spartan Ops that just recycled existing assets, I’d buy the them. If they made them into premium add-ons that you could only get by paying a monthly subscription fee, I’d pay it, just to have access to it. Either way, I wish they had more content, play modes besides Firefight, Forge, Campaign, and Multiplayer PvP.
Yeah I know this wasn’t a writing assignment, but I just wanted to suggest something new that could possibly improve the experience for everyone still playing Halo.
A better netcode, quicker content updates ie new maps and bringing back classic game modes, more social elements to return and more customization options ie given us more body options and playable elites
The fact that playable elites or brutes are missing shows how much disparity there currently is in Halo.
As a few forum posts mentioned. Make Halo fun again.
Honestly, just a decent method of earning cosemetics and some kind of progression system. A lot of other things that would be nice but this is the first thing I want to see and the lack of it is what’s keeping me from playing infinite as often as some other games.
