I think the next game will have the flood
I think its plausible though Im not getting my hopes up, maybe a new enemy form will appear or we will get a taste of the precursors, being the 2nd act of the the overall play that Halo 5-7 are creating it should possess the hunk of the information so its should be interesting

DUDE! THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! YOU SHOULD WORK FOR 343!!! In all honesty I’m still waiting for that storyline to actually happen, because it certainly didn’t happen in the current campaign. Their next game should just make the current one non-cannon. They can use the excuse that it’s just ONI lies to cover up the official story haha.

Given that a Flood Spore was placed within each Halo for study, I would think that it’s possible. However, given that Cortana is aware of just how destructive they are, I truly doubt she would release them, unless it was the only way for her to escape the UNSC (by delaying them with that).
These forums got a bit salty…er… But no, i dont see the flood becoming an issue, i think they will get a cameo MAYBE, but i think cortana is going to use slipspace to go into heavily colonies and use a halo, I dont recall Omega halo being destroyed, possible beam radiation weapon to wipe out humans?

The Omega Halo & the Greater Ark were both destroyed which is why the smaller 10000 KM Halos were used to cleanse the galaxy.
I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of the flood, because 343 seems to be in favor of fan service and as much as I hate the flood, everyone else seems to love it.
