With the way 343 has handled Halo 4 and Halo MCC Matchmaking the thing that most people that play the game daily would be spending there time doing… Seems to be 343 weak spot. Granted I think they just wanted to follow how matchmaking was left with the way Reach played but that was not the golden era of what Halo was.
Sadly I don’t think 343 can make Halo shine like it use to back in Halo 2 and Halo 3 days. They can make a pretty game just not one that fun to play over and over again. And they don’t seem to be able to capture the competitive side of what Halo was.
With how Twitch is now being this big platform to give games there shining light I just upset that the game is in the hand of 343 where they wont be able to let the game have a second chance.
Sure, it can work. The golden age of Halo nostalgia doesn’t really phase me too much given how viciously Bungie was accused of screwing up each Halo starting with Halo 2 and yet now it is looked back on nostalgically.
But seriously, OP, what do you mean about the ‘competitive’ thing? 343 are aiming for competitivity, and are succeeding. A rank system designed by the guy who did Starcraft. The Halo Championship leagues backing it. Really, I’m not sure you’ve thought this through.

I never said Halo 4 will be looked back on as amazing, plenty of reasons why it was not. But Halo 5 may be looked back on in a positive light if the community gives it a fair shot. If Halo 2 and 3 can be criticized in their time and be seen as classics, I see no reason why Halo 5 cannot be either.
atleast people need to play the beta, gameplay is ight but dont judge it from that, play it if it is fun and good for you okay, if it is bad then go play H2, we have servers on MCC for it and by sometime next year 343 will get MM up or maybe this month. I like fast pace games, its why i love titanfall. im excited for H5, i just want the ADS and Pistol Sprint animaion changed, ive seen that pistol animation in Cod and BF, i dont need it in Halo. Besides that H5 looks GREAT. im glad they arent just leaving it as H2/H3 copy and paste graphics upped and then let halo die like CoD, They are taking a chance, and if people dont like ground pound, it will be out or NERFED ALOT. its already weak enough, its only a direct hit kill, not destiny’s crap titan ability.

Calling the people who don’t agree with you sheep is pretty rude, especially when nobody has been rude to you either. It is fine to be skeptical, but being overwhelmingly negative about a game that has yet to release makes me think you’ve already made up your mind about the game and thus will not give it a fair chance. I think it fails therefore it will, that is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The last point is the exact same fear I have for the beta and with the different camps accusing each other of being the sheep, it doesn’t look good.
I really like Halo 4 (probably more than any other Halo game), so I see no problem in here.
In case of MCC - it’s not that game is badly designed or something like that. It has lots of technical issues. Halo 5 beta is about to appear a year before release - they’ll have a lot of time to polish stuff and make servers work.
Yes, Halo, 343i and Microsoft are all having tough times right now, but don’t let that cloud our judgement.
At this point my largest concerns are around the UI, networking, servers, bugs and party interaction. These need be solid first for a strong foundation to build a successful game.
I’m more interested in the campaign than the MP and I thought Halo 4 was one of the best of the series so on that front I’m very confident 343 will deliver

Now, if people have nothing better to do than matchmaking, there is a major problem.
