and people are gonna master BR at long range. the BR and DMR have the same kill times if you land every shot. and besides, it would seem that on the 5th burst from the BR you only have to hit them in the head with one bullet out of your burst. (because after 4 bursts shields will be down right?) so in a way the BR is better. than the DMR if you think about it. but thats not to say that the DMR doesnt have its advantages. and you complain about people no lifing short range DMR combat? it could be argued that long range automatics, BR’s, and sidearms will be no lifed as well.

Really? -face palm- then that would mean AA’s (which are balanced in this game) bloom (gone on most weapons but fixed to work properly) and sprint should be removed just because its from reach? halo 4 like any other game should have things that improve its experience regardless of where it comes from. The DMR is almost nothing like reaches DMR.

I hate the DMR, it reminds of Reach. I don’t understand why the first Vidoc even hyped the return of the BR when the DMR has a faster kill time.
People talk like the BR is better for close quarters and the DMR is meant for range but if your playing good players constantly then it’s not hard to 5 shot everytime with the DMR, making the BR useless.

He said the scale is correct dude. The DMR isn’t better than the BR quit trying to make it sound like it is.

A good enough player with the BR will likely beat an equally good player with a DMR up close. It doesn’t just come down to kill-times. Especially if they’ve specifically tried to handicap the DMR at close-range: DMR users would have to work around it, while BR users are able to utilize the full strengths of the BR without the need to make up for intentional handicaps.

I really don’t see how the br is better in close range. From what I understand the dmr kill time is faster than the br’s. I think they got it backwards and the br should have the faster kill time. The dmr would still be better at longer range since it has more zoom, can be more precise since it has a smaller reticule and doesn’t have recoil like the br. I don’t understanding the reasoning at all in giving the dmr the faster kill time. I kind of agree with the OP in just removing the dmr. Reach was such a bad game and the dmr should die with it.
If the DMR’s kill time is faster, you only have to get 1 shot in on the guy instead of three mini bullets, and the bloom is basically there for show, then the DMR is the better weapon. I personally hate the DMR and think the battle rifle should be a 4sk. I would not, however, hate the DMR if it had bleed through and so did the carbine. The only reason the BR is better in at least one way is because if a guy’s shields are almost down then you only have to shoot him in the head once, but that’s most likely not going to happen often. So in other words, the BR is a team weapon and is only useful for certain instances. I’d like to know if the MLG gametype is going to use the BR instead of the DMR, just because the BR takes more skill.
