Does anybody wish that the DMR isn’t in Halo 4? I know there is no way 343i will or can (Halo 4 is gold, YAY!)remove the DMR, but does anyone else wish?
Why would you?
Is there any reason why the DMR should stay out?
Why? It’s a great weapon. If it’s about it seeming to be better than the BR, then have no fear. The BR is meant for close range, and will undoubtedly outmatch a DMR at close range.
> Why would you?
I think that the BR should be the main weapon, with the release of Halo 3’s sequel, I was hoping that this part of Reach could stay out of the BR’s terrortory
I’m gonna destroy DMR users. Say hello to my old friend the BR.

ain’t gonna happen
No I do not wish for it to be out but… it being more powerful than the Battle Rifle slightly ticks me off.

As a sequel to the Halo series, it should have a 3SK Pistol instead, not a crappy Magnum that fires Skittles. If we use your logic.
and I wish for a playlist without precision weapons dominating the sandbox. But if I ask for one I get attacked.

You got one. It’s called Halo 4. Where fast-firing weapons have a place in close quarters.

It’s more powerful at long range, at short range, the BR owns.
A bit late for you to ask now

THANK YOU HALO GODS. aka 343 lol

How is the BR any good at short range? It has lower damage output.
Never going to happen. The DMR community is too large, 343 understands that we represent a fairly substantial part of the halo community and doesn’t want to risk our wrath. The DMR is an inseparable part of the halo franchise, it’s not going to Be leaving the ring anytime soon.
LONG LIVE THE DMR!
I wish they would fuse the two weapons into one rifle (500+ years in the future and selective fire weaponry is non-existent in humanities arsenal). That and it’s been four years since the conclusion of H3, something could have even developed and when you meet up with UNSC in game they can be “Chief here is a new rifle.”. I understand that the threat of extinction would have moved weapons manufacturing focus from rifles, side arms, etc. (don’t fix it if it isn’t broken) to weapons that pack more punch (spartan laser, later generations of SPARTANS, MJOLNIR suits, etc.). Hopefully the light rifle will be reverse engineered and a human inspired weapon will debut in later games. Oh, as for the selective fire map it to the d-pad. I could see it possibly being a balancing issue, complaints of balancing, or complaints in general. I’m going to stop now because I feel that I am stating to contradict myself.

He forgot to factor in that just because you’re more likely to land a full burst in at close range, doesn’t mean good players won’t be able to 5sk you faster, regardless.

Don’t like the DMR? Don’t use it. Simple as that!
Now move on.
