I don’t like how the War Games, as they’re calling it, only has those two achievements to reach a certain SR. Would it have killed them to put something more challenging within the gameplay? I missed how Halo 3 was starting out (The DLC achievements were too easy) having killing frenzy, mongoose mowdown, two for one, etc. all in free for all. Now those were achievements. It gave me a reason to really play free for all. How about in Halo 4, for DLC, we have more team based achievements that aren’t so easy like a 20 kill spree, or an extermination in one attack (rockets, spartan laser, sniper), but have to be in a playlist where an entire party can’t split in teams to get them. I’m not gonna discuss the possible cheaters obtaining them with the xbox party chat available, cheaters always gonna cheat with anything anyway. I’d say more people screw around and mess up everyone’s opportunities than have them earning the achievements.
On a side note, how about unlockable armor for certain achievements. I could imagine they’re being a lot of different armors to obtain, so I see why not. After you unlock it then maybe build up points to purchase it, depending if they’re doing points again which I think they are.
I haven’t read any of the achievements yet since I don’t want anything spoiled for me from the campaign, but I will say that I don’t really like multiplayer achievements. Usually, they’re terribly thought out and require the planets to align in order for you to get them done.
A perfect example are the ones from Reach. Most of the MM achievements were based upon pure luck of getting on a map in a certain game and THEN performing the action in the achievement. Performing the described action was NOT the hardest part, getting the right game on the right map was. That’s the wrong way to go about doing an achievement.
Besides that, even if there aren’t many in the initial set of achievements, I’m almost positive that we’ll be getting extra ones with the DLC that comes out in the future.

Same for me.
I know these ‘Play X amount of matches’ are designed simply to encourage players into xbl and matchmaking but like as said above, for all those who love multiplayer achievements, it will come with future DLC that we already know is coming.

Well I don’t like the “luck” ones either, but there are hard achievements that could be thought of that’s not based on luck.

Agreed. Multiplayer achievements promote boosting. What I hate even more though, is the Defiant and Anniversary achievements in Reach. Not only are a few of them completely luck based, but most of them are map AND gametype specific which makes them nearly impossible to “achieve” at all. I do not want to go through another fiasco like that.
