Brutes (which have been asked for since halo 2), elites, and Prometheans would’ve been cool to play as. At least in social playlists. I can understand how some players may be annoyed in a ranked playlist because maybe the hit boxes APPEAR different, but still. What do you guys think?
I was never a fan of playing as or seeing people play as Sangheili. So I’m actually pretty glad it’s back to Spartans only.
I think the only thing I like about thwm was killing the player and calling them a “Filthy Hinge Head” or “a disgusting split chin”… or a combination of the two or something worse.

I’ve been called a dinosaur multiple times on halo 3
Were this Bungie, we still would’ve had Elites in the multiplayer. Making matchmaking revolve around canon in Halo 4 was one of the many terrible decisions 343 made. I can’t believe that the thread petitioning 343 to add Elites in the next Halo game was flat-out ignored, which has thousands and thousands of signatures.
Heres my list from most wanted to least wanted.
Elites (NEEEEED THEM ADD THEN NOWWW)
Forerunner soldiers
Flood
Brutes
Spartans
I really dont care about anything other than Elites though.
im good on that

This is why I laugh every time someone says 343’s listening to it’s fans. Selective hearing, more like.

You know some people don’t even bother with 343’s Halo games on that basis alone of not having Elites. Bungie ended up creating a strong Elite community; so strong that many of them still play Reach today.
Another very strong subculture is the machinima community. Used to be big back in the Halo 3 and Reach days. The few left still mainly use the Halo 3 and Reach engines because they’re more flexible and offer a lot more than what 343’s Halo games do.
