I loved the trailer, now I can only imagine if I could play through that part.
I thought about that too. It would sort of be like a QuickTime event, in where we are forced to somehow be able to maneuver greatly in free fall and run down a mountain at greater speeds.
Given the momentum of free fall, are running and jumping will be enhanced compared to base traits. We will even have chances to jump into a Phantom like Vale did and charge through boulders like Tanaka.

The reason why I don’t like quickqime events is because there’s minimal gameplay, although they can be done in a way I don’t mind (like Halo 4’s first mission). If there’s quicktime events they should be used for the right reasons at the right time, also the less quicktime events there are the better but that’s just my opinion. I don’t know if this is something that’s right for it. Ideas may sound nice on paper but they don’t always turn out to be great and might make it less fun and interesting which is not something you’d want. IMO I think if they turned this cinematic into a quicktime event it wouldn’t be fun.
EDIT: Also it would have to focus on the character you’re playing which takes away a lot of the stuff you see now. Why would you control all 4 characters (don’t forget Co Op) and have the camera go “all over the place”, it would actually be a mess. That said that’s the way I’m looking at it now and I’m still thinking about the idea so might edit later with some more thoughts on my mind about the idea that if this should/could be a (decent) quicktime event.
It would have to be like sunset overdrive. I wouldn’t mind one mission like that.

Hmm, have played Sunset Overdrive but didn’t finish it yet. Are you talking about that dragon boss fight? Forgot what it was exactly but I remember actually enjoying that and I love how the game doesn’t take itself seriously.
EDIT: Hmm nvm, searched some gameplay and saw I remembered it wrong. Not sure what part you’re talking about :).
People want change, yet freak out when change is done? I don’t get it

I was just talking about jetting through a bunch of enemies at high speed and blasting all the while.

Aaaaahhhh fail on my part lol. I also read your post wrong thought you were talking about QuickTime events xD. Yeah I honestly wouldn’t mind a mission where you start out like in the cinematic, the idea sounds nice. The quicktime idea I’m not a fan of though.

That’s basically what I meant. I only said quick time because you won’t be able to control when to stop running (unless you hijack or board a phantom). That doesn’t mean you want have full control over everything else.

Yes but how is that relevant? Op is discussing the option to play this sequence not whining about change.
