Wish list for campaign

Simple topic what are the top five things you guys want for campaign. I will start with mines.

number one: FALCON

Halo infinite, has a really nice gameplay loop, especially in the late game where you can use the wasp to bring the chief anywhere via air, the problem is marines are such a help in this game and we need an airborn way to transport them especially with some of the situations we can get into. Would be really good for gameplay flow as well. Drop into a fort with a bunch of snipers onto a roof, and just start blasting for example.

For this I have two Falcon variant suggestions.

Variant one: Transport
Crew: 1 pilot, 2 gunners, 4 passengers, 2x weapon racks (rear mount)
weapons: 2x m247H MGs, 2x open weapon seats
note: two passengers sit in the center so they can’t fire their weapons.

Variant two: Heavy ops
Crew: 1 pilot, 2 gunners, 2x weapon racks, and 2x ballistic ammo packs. (where the open passangers where.)
weapons: pilot chin gun, 2x grenade launchers.

Number two: Give the FOB’s TURRETS and AMMO PACKS

this one is much simipler tired of banshees bombing the hell out of me on an FoB, also tired of having to take time spawning guns just to get ammo for them. There should be ammo packs on every FoB pad that restock over time.

Number three: Please return Marines driving.

Even if it is just adding specific pilot and driver AI types that you have to unlock with valor, I miss the vehicle assaults from halo 2 on wards, and this is the only game where marines can’t even drive a ghost.

The basic suggestion is give all marines the ability to drive razorbacks, and mongeese, as well as to use their freaking turrets with out a driver.

Seriously the marines should be able to use the turrets at their rescue points.

Number four: I want ODSTS, please bring them back.

I mean imagine this, you get a FoB objective late in the DLC where you also have a Marine distress signal. You get there and it is a group of ODST’s holding an FoB that they managed to retake. But the banished want it back.

Just imagine it 6 ODST’s one with a sniper, one with a m247H, the rest with the variant BR and Ma40 all defending an FoB.

To make them distinct they would have weak shields and be much better at long range combat. as well as having the ability to use dismounted turrets. making them high value in infantry attacks.

Number five: Please bring back allied elites.

this one is simple. I love having allied elites, just imagine arming several allied elites with human sniper rifles, having them cloak and help you in combat.

To make them distinct they could have the human designed armor from halo MCC, with a camo green tent.

  1. More Easter eggs- simple and complex ones

  2. Unique encounters- Ambushes, Secret boss fights

  3. More and new open world missions- Additional HVT’s, ODST rescue or side missions, FOB defense mission’s with FOB upgrades like turrents and ammo.
(Maybe your alerted of an FOB attack and could lose control of it if you don’t respond)

  4. A more improved upon Valor system- as far as I know Valor only upgrades FOB’s. Maybe have the option to call in ordnance, missile strikes, ODST squads (when your out an about)

  5. More content- New biomes, story missions, maybe some cool open world events that we could co-op with friends (when its ready)

This open world experience has so far been amazing and I feel this wish list would help even further bring this ring to life. Obviously some of these things would take time but overall would make this game a masterpiece.

Love these ideas. Would really love to see new biomes and content as well. My only big question (which sadly I know the answer to already,) is if we will get any more campaign content for free or if we’ll have to wait a year and pay another $60.

From what 343 have stated, Campaign will be funded by the multiplayer so yeah it will be free.

Could be useful. I mean if they where to add an ability to swap out your armor abilites. it would be perfect.

hmm that gives me an idea.

Ability swaps:

This is simple the ability to swap each one of your armor abilities for different ones.

Slot one: Mobility tools
By default this slot has the grapple hook, but later you can swap it for a repulser or a jetpack, each with their own mobility set.

Slot two: recon tools
these are tools for scouting the battlefield, things like recon sensor, Promethean vision, or cloak.

slot three: defensive tools
by default this is the drop wall, but later you can get things like sentinal turret, UNSC drone, and brute landmines.

slot four: Wild card.
by default this is your thruster pack, but later on you can get things like a reinforcement radio that can call in allied troopers anywhere, upgrading it can even call in ODST’s, weapon ammo printers to refill any none power weapon, or vehicle repair kits to keep that tank in the fight.

  1. UNSC land vehicles that I’ve tried all feel too “grippy” to the terrain, especially warthog and mongoose while also being very light and easy to flip. Some of the animations look like they are on 2x speed because of the grip. They would be more fun to drive if they were looser and slide around a bit like the older games. The razorback is OK but could still be more fun to drive.

  2. The ghost should be more buoyant, its also too tight and not fun to drive.

  3. Snow or Rain. Some weather would make the map less repetitive.

  4. Hearing a lot of repeated dialogue from Cortana, NPCs and Banished coms. Less audio triggers might help, dunno if 343 is gonna record more audio but who knows… It’s def repetitive. And the marines don’t really have much character on top of that. Really missing those funny Australian dudes.

  5. Most Grunt voices aren’t squeaky enough, and they just sound like humans making weird voices. Need pitched up.

It won’t be. Depends on how much work is involved moreso than anything, if its a proper DLC with voice acting, mocap, story/writing, etc. It’ll 100% cost money, if its something smaller like a vehicle and/or weapon then they won’t.

Only time will tell, but by the fact they have earned thousands of dollars already from the microtransactions I am pretty sure campaign can be funded by them.

They’ve probably already made millions, but that is not what matters here.

The question that this pertains to is what would be the point of releasing a DLC if not to make money? Now if it were something that a handful of people could complete in a few months (something like weapon/vehicle variants, more HVT’s, stuff like that) then charging for it seems unnecessary and/or pointless as lots of people wouldn’t even bother purchasing it, but if we’re talking about something that takes like 40/50 people 1/2 years to finish 0 chance it’ll be free, because the investment is so high that no guaranteed profit would be a bad business move I’d say.

Regardless this is all speculative. Nobody knows exactly how/when things will unfold.

Found it, in the marketting they have said several times the story DLC will be free and funded by the microtransations. I knew I wasn’t pulling it out of my -Yoink!-.

Sauce?

20 characters.

Make the open world feel really open world. Add more RPG elements. Make PvE more than a campaign.

So 343i have no claim and thus cannot be held accountable? Yeah… Wouldn’t count on that mate.

Thanks for being honest lol.

I have a theory that there is little content, such as a lack of weapons and heavy equipment, because the UNSC is dispersed during the campaign and will add more content as it is reorganized in the next campaign.

One can only hope.

Would live for there to be more equipment as things go on.

Would also love for there to be more heavy attacks as we get organized, just imagine attacking a fort with 2 wasps as air support dog fighting some banshees.

Think big, I want mechas and Pelicans.

It’s not a particularly lofty request, but I’ll put voice to it here. Didn’t 343i say that there was going to be some means to earn progression by playing campaign? I hope they didn’t mean the Mjolnir lockers, as I was expecting some available PvE challenges in line with those in MCC for players like myself who just vastly prefer playing Halo in the campaign to the multiplayer, but still want to have time spent playing the game reflect in progression.

Major bummer if there’s no incentive to spend extra time in the campaign apart from grabbing the collectibles once and replaying just for the story.

Yeah I would love to have the Mantis back, especially if the banished get the goblin and the locust to counter it.

As for the pelicans only if echo 216 gets his condor.

I agree with all of your points. The only one I have a struggle with finding an appropriate way to integrate is the allied Sangheli as we are unaware of the current status of the Arbiter and company, who are the only known allied Sangheli we have.

I’m not sure how they could even implement progression/challenges without a reliable method of replying missions.
