I’m much enjoying my return to Halo Wars with the new sequel, I really like playing Halo Wars 2. There is one thing that I would wish I could alter, it’s a minor annoyance but hear me out. In Halo Wars 2 multi-player, skirmish and Blitz you’ve got red and blue teams. If there are more than one player on a team then extra players get “sub colours”, like yellow if you are on the red team. These can’t be selected by the player, as in the original game(in skirmish anyway).
I hereby, humble as can be, encourage 343 Industries and Creative Assembly to add sub colour selection to the game. Perhaps in the options menu there could be settings for red and blue teams, like “Preferred Team Sub Colors”. Clicking on, say red, would open a drop down menu where you could check one of red, yellow and whatever the last red sub colour is. In case two players have chosen the same colour the game then randomly assigns them instead.
I know that in the grand scheme of things this is a minor problem indeed. There are of course more important things to address for the developers like managing gameplay balance, squashing any bugs, creating new content, handling the PC version and those sort of things. But man, I really think that the Banished and the UNSC looks killer in yellow! I ache for playing in that paint job:) The developers did spend time to implement these colours in the first place, and I think it would be a shame if they only featured in multible-players/actors-per-side matches in multi-player, skirmish and blitz.
