wish assassinations were first person

anybody every thought what first person assassinations could have looked like? i thought it would have always made sense to do it like that! would have looked sick too. i think the third person detracts from the intensity of the game play :frowning: first person would make you feel like a bad -Yoink- lol

Me staring at the back of their head?

Nah, you get to see the full body animation in 3rd person, assasinations don’t look as awesome in first person, judging from BF3

I think it looks more cinematic in 3rd person.

Trust me, it is much cooler to see it from third person.
It doesn’t detract from the intensity - what about turrets? They work fine.

Besides, you have diving assassinations and i’m not too keen on seeing the ground when performing my assassination.

lol just youtubed it and this came up! i think its really cool

i always wished they had kept first person in passenger seat too

Seeing how they work in BF 3, I’d rather they stay 3rd person. I’d rather look at the entire animation of my spartan. Just seeing the spartan climb onto the enemy’s back and take him out is pure awesome. I don’t think it would be the same in fp.

Its fine were it is at.

Battlefield 3 assassinations.
I still think third person is better.

I would’ve preferred to have them in 1st person as well but I guess they just want to show cool animations and stuff and it’s easier to do that in 3rd person I guess.

you’d still be able to see other people doing it though! oh well i guess we’re alone on this one haha

agree everytime you are send to a tpv i feel weird pulled out of the action

You can’t really base what they would look like in halo based off of battlefield 3, they’re two different games. Besides, there aren’t only assassinations where you’re looking at the back of the head, what about the one where you pull him back and get him in the chest or the one where you turn him around and get him in the skull or gut? Plus, imagine the flagsassination! It would look amazing! I would love to see these in first person! note: the first two assassinations are from reach

Dude, no, just no.

Remember THIS IS SPARTA kicking spartans off spire as an Elite? Picture that in first person and then tell me which one looks better.

Exactly! Now just imagine him doing the flagsassination instead! Picture your opponent disintegrating right in front or your eyes!

i already have pictured it! imagine boshing him in the face with your boot in first person it would be awesome!

I would personally support first person assassinations. Considering it is a “First Person” Shooter, it would only make sense that the melee components reflect that as well. Yes, having third person allows 343 to make assassinations over-the-top and extremely exciting. But, for me it’s not as immersive and I prefer Battlefield 3’s approach, which never gets old personally.

The more I feel in control over what my spartan is doing, the more fun I’m personally having in the game. With that said, who wouldn’t also be in support of a First Person View for vehicles? It’s certainly something I think 343 could easily implement and they wouldn’t have to fundamentally change how the vehicles work. Obviously the major issue would be a loss of awareness around you, but I would still like it for immersion purposes.

I’m a fan of going into 3rd person. You really get to see a lot more of the animation and personally I think it’s cooler
