Wireless signal boosters

I have the new xbox 360 slim and was wondering if i could still use one of them wireless adapters to help boost my signal on my xbox

As in, the adapter that went on the older 360 model? It wouldn’t be of any use, as most of the adapters only support up to wireless-G, while the built-in adapter supports wireless-N.

In fact, I don’t even think the firmware would allow you to use the adapter.

Well, you’re going the wrong way about this.

Your Slim 360 comes with a 802.11b/g/n wireless card built-in. In fact, HERE is a picture of it on the inside.

The wireless-n adapter you may be referring to was designed for the original Xbox 360 models.

You will just have another of the same thing.

To answer you question, no, the two cards wont work together to provide a super connection.

Instead, try looking for a better wireless router. I would recommend a high-end Netgear router.

After that, I would recommend taking a peek at my thread to improve your connection:

Thanks for the help shadow and will read your post

You might want to get a “signal booster” to boost your Wifi range so that your xbox can receive it.

Try Belkin Wireless G Router’s they are the best!

I think I need to invest in one of these.

If you have a wireless router and you’re having trouble getting a signal to your 360 you should consider a range extender or as said earlier, a new router that supports wireless N.
