So I just bought a brand new Microsoft wired controller yesterday, everything is great except when I plug in my turtle beaches it echos other people’s sounds/voices. Even when I have my mic muted it still keeps echoing. I don’t have any problems using my turtle beaches with my other 3 wireless controlers. The problems just occur on the wired one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I know this isn’t exclusive to any headset or any type of controller.
I have head this happen with my tritton’s, my wireless mic, and the original wired mic I got with my Halo 3 xbox 360. Paired with a wireless & wired controller.
If you can try another wired headset with the controller. If you are still plagued with it, exchange it. It might be the port at the bottom of the controller, just test it a few times. Plug it in, take it out, plug it in, take it out.
Reset the box a few times.
Etc.
It’s a common issue with Turtle Beach headsets.
A common fix that usually resolves the issue is by pressing your Guide button, scrolling to the right until you see “Preferences” and click it. Then, in the “Voice” settings, change the volume down to about 4.
