Just saw the winter update video. The ending shows 3 of my all time favorite armor sets. Idk spartans, at this point Im expecting it, but if they have us pay for more old armor thats free in MCC right now Im completely done. Itd be such a blatant kick in the face to bring back halo reach armor, armor that shouldve been there for the whol halo reach season thing, and then charge us for it im done. If they do that, and they probably will, then 343 shows us that they have learned NOTHING about what people want and expect out of their favorite series. this is all so sad. rant over. probably never posting again because halo is dead and the community been sucky lately. But ya they built new assets dont expect them all to be free.

Modod, don’t be this way. They’ve said MULTIPLE times that the 30 tier battle pass is free. I am certain everything we’ve seen is in there.

I mean, this should have been part of the Season 1 battle pass months ago. I mean, I get that 343’s obsessed with monetization and likes to drip feed content just to artificially inflate value for armor pieces. But I shouldn’t have to be exicited for content that should be earnable through gameplay. Frankly, I would not be surprised if there were at least a few Reach armor pieces that end up being put in the store anyways. If there’s a single Reach cosmetic piece that’s not part of this 30 tier battle pass and is being charged real world money, then they lied about making those Reach armor pieces free.

Basic stuff will be in the free battle pass. Anything that actually looks good will be $20 in the shop. Tenrai event is a good example. first go around the free pass was large challenge swaps. 2nd time they added some knee pads for free. Still reserved the cool stuff like the katana sword in the shop.

I’m just disappointed that they said nothing about cross-core. I was hoping for coatings. Guess I will have to wait six months for the next drop pod.
You sure we’ll get mkv for free? I had bought the actual pass so that would basically mean that was basically a waste. Or did I read it wrong and you meant the mkVI?
And from what I saw, a good chunk of the items they said would be on the free pass was originally sold in the shop. CQC, JFO & HAZOP being the few to note. But then other parts that were not sold or put in the battle pass that just existed. Like the security arms n’ stuff. I’m glad I didn’t buy them if I gonna be able to just get them free if I wait a lil bit. I really like the JFO set. BUT I cannot wait for the CQB helmet to release… I NEEEDSS IT!!

3 good parts I liked that where in the free pass was the kabuto helm and it’s antler attachment. The demon helmet (I can’t remember its name) and the wakizashi blade for the waist. I got the pink coating for the weekly challenge so my samurai looks really good. I spent zero money on the tenrai stuff and now I feel like I just missed out on a bunch of cool things I wanted. Granted back then I also wasn’t in a good financial position where every dollar counted.
Pretty sad they wouldn’t just leave the stuff from previous seasons and events to the standard rotation of cosmetics. Because people like me end up missing out on things.

There are several versions of MK V.
MK V: Halo CE(A) and, because it’s unnamed, MK V (Reach)
MK V Alpha: A weird Halo 5 version.
MK V [B]: What Noble 6 wears. Yes, it is a MK V variant. But it isn’t MK V. It is not the Reach MK V. It’s MK V [B].
MK V Delta: Halo 3 / Halo 5 second release.
MK V [Z]: The MK V helmet currently available on the MK VII Armor Core - the one you see the most often in Halo: Infinite.
I hope this clears things up.
CQC and JFO were to be sold in the shop, but never made it in. There was never any point you could purchase any of them. Hazop did make it in. CBQ also never made it in the shop. MK V also did not ever appear in the shop.
Pretty much everything is Season 1 stuff they didn’t have any feasible way to release after some backlash, and were all slated/tagged to be released as Season 1 items - you can see that by “Released in Season 1” but - they never were.
So, yeah.
Everything we saw in the trailer today is stuff we’re getting for free in this battle pass, flat out. If it’s not, you can come back and laugh at me and curse my name in 19 days’ time.

Really annoys me that they call it a free pass, when you have to pay 10$ for the core to use the armour

Could’ve sworn I saw them in shop. I definitely saw cqc in shop with Hazop. Hazop for sure did make it in shop. I know mkV never went in shop as it simply didn’t exist whatsoever during the games s1 release.
