Knowing them they probably want to make sure it doesn’t break another part of the game first before getting us too excited. (I’m looking at you BTB)

I get they want the player numbers to stay up, but gate keeping progression just isn’t the way.
They really need to revert back to play and progress as much as you want.
this -Yoink!- is insane and I don’t think anyone back in the day would believe the progression system now.

Daily reward- you just play one game and get the reward
343 said they’re doing this event as a small thank you. Not a big scale event. Plus it’s the holidays. Just log in, play a swat game for 7 minutes, get a reward and log off
small event or big event, that’s not the point.
the point is, why are they having players login once a day. what If I want to grind it up at launch, then head out to my grandmas or uncles?
they seriously don’t think these events through at all.

Im hoping there is some extra days to play catch up, because yeah Christmas eve and day with family are a little more important than checking in on halo

how is that gatekeeping? this is minimal engagement with the game possible. no purchase, you could even be afk for that one game I’d bet. was this sarcasm?

It’s gate keeping because you have to actually play the game to get some silly cosmetic that most will likely never use.
