So, how would you overcome false advertising on 343’s part? They basically had to be bullied into not putting in microtransactions into MCC.
And really, all I want is simple. For every tier in this battle pass to actually have content in it. Why is that a bad thing? XP Boosts and Challenge Swaps don’t count.
Also, how would you actually do that? It’s not like Pierre Hintze is handing out his contact info to random Halo fans. Also also, even at my worst I’m still providing ideas as to how the people at 343, the multi-hundred game company that’s been at this for a decade, can make the game better. Put in real content, and be responsive and proactive in supporting fan feedback.
So, what the heck are you doing? I haven’t seen any ideas on your end as to features/content 343 can put in the game to actually make it worthwhile. So, how about you actually respond to my ideas and then I’ll actually consider whatever it is that you have to say.
Well with 343 the term more is coming could just be a second match XP beta, or some UI font change.
Like they hype up some of the most mundane stuff.
For example reporting players in game is a whole bullet point on the roadmap… That could easily fall under the quality of life Bullet point but 343 want more filler.
And I’m sure come season 3 Sean B is going to make some video over. Explaining Report a player feature as of the community has never seen this feature before

At times like this I feel bad for 343. New management and yet there’s never enough for some people.
There are people out there who are picking up games for the first time so videos do have to cater to everyone, not just the entitled people.

No, you’re not. The beta is so that they can figure out the best and steadiest metrics to tailor the speed of your progression. How much you get per match, etc.
They’re adjusting it over the next couple of months, because they do not want you BLAZING through the new battle pass, but also don’t want you crawling through it.
This is to ensure that they get the best possible player retention via extending the life of a battle pass.

Compared to the machine gun, where should I aim the commando if I’m using it relatively the same… if I hit body first then head shot, does that make commando work faster? I have accidentally shredded with it before but feel like I just got lucky. (I think I meant to put this in the Br post)
Hype is fine. The problem is 343 over-hypes and oversells literally everything to an extreme measure. They’ve lost an enormous amount of trust with the community because of this.
I’m honestly shocked at this point whenever I see a post or video that claims the winter update is “a huge W,” or “finally 343 is righting the ship,” etc… How has anyone not learned by now that we have to actually get the thing in our hands before making such claims. I’ve lost 100% of my trust in 343s words, and that is coming from a very trusting person. I just think too many are blinded by their own hope and wishful thinking.

Yes, but only because they have no other option. 343 continue to back themselves deeper into a corner by borrowing against their future. Any goodwill they garner is quickly evaporated by the debt they’ve created for themselves, but that doesn’t stop them from trying to reinvest with it.
MCC is probably the best example of this once they finally delivered on it (something like 6 years later).
Can you imagine where we would be if the checks 343 has been writing lately could be cashed from a deep bank of goodwill and impressive past and not a obvious attempts to “float it until the next paycheck”?
343 wasted space on both paid passes, you’re right that they’re filling every crack with junk so they can sell another season. This free pass is a bandaid since they can’t even keep cosmetics on schedule anymore, wouldn’t surprise is they’d planned all this to be store content but gave us a “freebie” to shut us up.

They said that the other reach items would be in the January event. But I just hate the fact that there is only 3 small chest pieces. Where are the other reach pieces??
Hope the MCC team gets more staff after this staff crunch resolves, they have been making tons of cosmetics for free only to get undercut by this sorry season. We could have have a second or third wave of “non canon” armour instead of waiting for Reach ports to come 1 yr late. 343 bombed this release.

The company is supposed to be pressured by their customers. If they wanted a quiet forum they picked the wrong series to test monetization.
I’m only interested in 2 things in this Battle Pass, the Gungnir Kneepads & the CQC Shoulders as these are the only 2 pieces that would make my Spartan looking like my Halo Reach preset again

Back in my day, ALL of the customization was free! You had to earn your helmets, armor, visors, etc, and you could make your own paintjob (sorry I meant “coating”) and emblem for FREE, from the start! You couldn’t just buy them in the store for $20 and be done with it, you had to play the game you bought!
I get that the game is free and Microsoft has to turn a profit somehow, but gutting the progression and what players can unlock the traditional way is not the way to do it. At least give the people who spent $60 on the campaign something, at least let us unlock Master Chief’s armor like, every single other Halo game in the past. I doubt the match XP “beta” (chuckled a bit writing that) will fix this issue, as it is a fundamental issue with how the game is monetized and how the progression was structured.
