So sometimes when starting Halo MCC on steam, it causes my Windows Defender to go crazy and it uses like 20% to 100% of my CPU for like 5 minutes which causes my PC to not respond. Or at least very Little.
Does anyone know why this happens? It only happens when i start Halo MCC. Not CSGO or any other game on steam.

No, unfortunately not. I have no idea what causes it. But it does not happen currently. But it come and goes every now and then.
I might have found a workaround. Open Windows Security settings -> Virus and Threat Protection -> Exclusions. Then add an exclusion for the entire Halo MCC folder. Since I’ve done this, I haven’t had this issue. I’ll update this post if it happens again.
Edit: Nope. Nevermind. It worked a few times, but now the problem is back.
